I just beat it earlier this week and I really enjoyed the game. It was on the short side, but it was a huge surprise how great the game really was. I bought it for 10.00 also.

If you like sandbox style games where you have super powers and over the top vehicles that have super powers then you need to get Crackdown.

Crackdown is one of the best sandbox games this gen and having this theme come out now might be a slight hint that Crackdown 2 might be in the oven.

I don't usually buy themes and crap but I think I will make an exception.

If you have a 360 you owe it to yourself to at least give Crackdown a rental.

7 - Crackdown is a 360 gem
I know a lot of people bought it solely for the Halo 3 aspect, but that's sad because the game was really fun. It had the best aspects of GTA IV (driving, shooting, free-roaming sandbox gameplay), but mixed it up with a healthy dose of super-human powers and free-climbing awesomeness.

I no longer wondered "Hrm, I'm not sure I can get up on that building". Now it's "Oh, I just need to go kill some more badguys, and that rooftop will be mine in no time".

7.2 - actually it was agility orbs
kicking and shooting bad guys improved strength and gun abilities. But hell yeah, leveling up and collecting agility orbs was a blast in of itself.

9 - If Microsoft and the devs were smart
They would make Crackdown 2 and promote the hell out of it. I still play Crackdown. Its just pure fun. You dont even have to do any of the missions. You could just go through the city and collect orbs and cause damage. Once you unlock the different parts of the city, take it online with a friend, its even better.

Microsoft needs more games like that.

The DLC multiplayer action was awesome, too. I remember that one where it was basically a rocket arena, with everyone blowing the sh1t out of each other. Fun stuff, that was!

9.2 - Reports are that Ruffian Games is working on crackdown 2.
They're getting some help from realtime worlds as they do.

I think Microsoft has A LOT of stuff going on that people don't know about and they're doing a really good job of keeping it quiet.

I love to see what Ruffian is working on and Smith and Tinker.

OMG the CoOp is amazing in this game!! The fact you can be on opposite ends of the city and hear all the destruction your co-op person is doing is a blast. I literally was blocks away and saw cars flying thru the air and running over to get in on the mayhem.

Awesome stuff!

While most things from the Major are nice to have knowledge of, this is hardly news, the game is nearly 2 years old. While most likely this is all Major Nelson can legally talk about before E3 come on you can do better than this.

16 - Realtime Worlds...
Is actually working on APB(All Points Bulletin) for PC right now. It actually shares a lot in common with Crackdowns' design and concepts and is their attempt at making an MMO in the vein of Crackdown and GTA where the police force and gangs are in a constant struggle in a huge city. The gameplay sounds awesome if it actually comes to fruition. Originally it was planned to come out for PC and 360, but is now slated to appear this year for PC with plans for release later on 360 and PS3.

I've heard no announcement at all and have no plans for PS3 at all.

They are working on both the 360 and PC right now but plan on releasing the PC version first.

There was a rough rumor that another studio would be working with RTW to make Crackdown 2.

I hope this means some more 'skills for kills' might be announced at E3, this is in my opinion, Microsoft's best new franchise since the birth of the 360 and something like what would of been back on the XBOX when Microsoft actually had GOOD exclusive published games and franchises before they sacked most of their studios.
I'd be actually tempted to buy this theme, I have a few points lying around. I've completed this game twice, going on 3 times now, just for kicks.
