I would rather have it transcribed. I don't like podcast as they take too much time to listen to and I loose focus. Any chance they will be available in both formats, written and audio, for us non podcasters?

I'm with IdleLee. I would much rather have it in written format and be able to scan and read the parts I found interesting.

Good interview. I'm sure that the angle of the answer on potential was not what anyone was looking for but its interesting. XBL is pretty cool but PSN is like the same thing give and take a few features. I think that the Xbox has a legacy in the online space in that it works however I prefer the PSN space because downloaded games are mine on PS3 or PSP online or off and that's what matters to me most because sometimes I don't want anyone to bother me while I play single player. Intersting angle on the answer that I did not expect I don't think that it will matter at the end of the day though cause seriously XBL and PSN are about the same you have to choose what games you like and how and even when you want to play them.

An informative interview. Its nice to hear actual professionals in the industry cutting through the BS we hear from less reputable sources all the time.

One of those 'perpetually suffering from a runny nose' dorks.

Pretty amateur, really, but some decent questions. Some of the articles N4G praise as 'good writing' are delivered with a literary elegance comparable to Karen Matthews' sex moans... So don't trust their views.

But hell, anything concerned with COD, it's gotta be praised.

6 - The interviewer has the most annoying voice ever
After the guy explains anything, he says "ok, so oooooooooouuuuuuuuhhhhhhhmmmmm m *chews something possibly his cheek*" It got annoying and how old is this interview? Also they really seem to prefer the 360, but they aren't programmers, so how much would they actually know? What does a producer actually do?

Firstly it's not an article that you read.

Secondly the guys seemed to prefer the 360 instead of the PS3

So maybe click on the link next time? =P

a few honest suggestions to improve your interviews. Not to say it was bad but i could tell you can use some constructive info.
first, When you do an interview try to keep the mic at least a foot away from your and or your subjects face. You seemed to have the mic too close to yourself and not close enough to your subjects. Since your subjects are the topic not you, you want that mic as close to them as possible. move in close if you need to.

Second listen more to what your subjects are saying I heard a few missed opportunities for follow up questions. While you have questions for them it's always good to listen for what your subject wants to say. If there is a topic you can tell they want to talk more about then delve into that. If it sounds like they don't want to talk about it then don't push them.

It sounded like they wanted to talk more about what they were doing with the title they were currently working on but all you wanted to ask was which console they prefered or liked the most. Not a good way to establish a connection you might want later.

lastly work on your confidence factor try interviewing your friends and various other people. even if their worthless it will give you a big sense of how to go about asking questions and getting answers. I got a bit of professional interviewing experience myself and hope something I said will help you man. Keep up the good work.

12.1 - Excellent suggestions above.
I'd also highly suggest doing vocal exercises to help with enunciation when talking in general. The more casual your conversations sound as well as the ease of understanding through practiced public speaking and well-outlined lines of conversation the more chances you'll have with getting people for interviews and more listeners.

there doesn't seem to be much quantitative so much as qualitative arguments for console comparisons. However it is clear to me that both producers have almost played exclusively on the 360. What was it, one went through 4 units and the other through 5? But neither one mentioned even for one second that they've sat down through a ps3 title or have a ps3 game they enjoy. Only passing mentions at PSN.

14 - Nice interview
However, when the guys talked about which consoles had the most potential, they sort of answered that question from a business perspective. They said that since XBL had a large install base and was there first, more publishers would seek to be with the 360 to make more money. I think the interviewer, and basically the rest of us wanted to know in terms of life cycle and games-wise which console has the most potential. I stand by my belief that both have a lot of potential left, but the PS3 will edge it because Sony has more resources to work with.

When they talked about games shipping with bugs, I liked how they were so honest with that response. It's obvious that game devs and publishers need to answer to a higher authority and they need to get stuff shipped on time. Nowadays its acceptable because patches are available for this gen of consoles. I find it acceptable but only if the patch is released soon. Look at the Fallout DLC. I think all three of them have been shipped in a state of complete unplayability, but as soon as it happens Bethesda releases the patch. Now, the game actually goes gold a month or so before release so Bethesda takes that time available to just create the patch and release it as early as they can after the game is out. So a lot of people can curse Bethesda but the reality is these guys kill themselves night and day trying to finish the game and we still hate them for any flaw we find.

I have heard this guy before. He certainly seems to be a bit bias towards the PS3 based on past interviews and questions he asks.

I don't think he got quite the response he had hoped for.

17 - off topic guys
i was surfing the web when i came across this small article here.

Blu-ray Beats Hi-def iTunes in Blind Test

A whopping 92% of the participants in a blind test recently held by the CEDIA association picked Blu-ray over a hidef iTunes movie download. Twenty-five participants were asked to look at two identical 40-inch LCD displays showing the movie 'Twilight', one from an iTunes 720p download and the other from 1080p Blu-ray. Participants didn't know which display was Blu-ray.

The survey was given to 21 women and four men, and took place March 27 in the headquarters of CEDIA. The displays were non-calibrated 40-inch LCDs on movie mode with identical movie mode settings, and connected to the source with high-quality 5-meter HDMI cables. The lights were dimmed in the front of the room towards the displays and on in the back.

This is not considered to be a highly scientific study, but it is nonetheless significant, as it confirms the notion that not only can consumers tell standard definition (480i/480p) from high definition, but they can also tell highly-compressed, lower resolution HD from high-bitrate, high-resolution HD.

source: http://www.twice.com/blog/7...

i guess this goes to show you, that despite what fanboys may tell you the difference in compression and non compression is clearly evident and notable, not just the people in the know, but also everyone else period. so much for download greatness.
