I am pretty hyped for this game. I plan on getting my platinum trophy in Infamous, then playing through Prototype then hopefully plat Ghostbusters. 360 owners shouldn't be to sad you can still get the game on PS2 as well. Everyone has one of those.

Sony should have figured out what they wanted to do a long time ago. Terminal Reality said had this been only on the PS3 they could have done more with the new game engine, but obviously only until recently has the multiplatform approach been switched so plan on the game having the same number of ghosts on screen at once and all the other things they said they could have improved on to be what they are although they could have been better.

ON TOPIC: I'll definitely be buying this game. I'm so excited about it, I just can't wait for the 360 version. So I'll be wiping the dust off the old PS3 and relishing busting some ghosts alongside Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston. Having been written by Aykroyd and Ramis, it's an official sequel. This hardly makes Sony evil. Like Da Truth said when MS would do this they try and make it appear as if the game is exclusive not just timed exclusive. Hence why I own the 360 version of Tales of Vesperia and NG2.

It makes sense for Sony to want to push the game some to coincide with the release of GB on blu. I'm doubting this will become an ongoing trend, but don't quote me on that.

No matter what it really won't matter unless the game turns out to be good.

Funny, because every time MS does something like this, they always get a free pass.

Watch the press be all OVER this one, though! Why? Because it's Sony, and God forbid they would give MS a dose of their own medicine.

@mastiffchild: Don't agree with that, though you might be right when the smoke clears. Remember, though, that Sony was a disjointed company, with neither the video, movie, music, or game divisions being on the same page. So even though the movie division had the rights, the game division never was going to act on that (until now, of course). Let's not even START on the whole music/game stuff.

That makes me think there's more to THIS than just Sony Pictures owning GB. There's a BIG underlining story here, and I think that's the third comment I posted (which is further down).

By the way, a bit of FYI for anyone who's curious, Columbia Pictures distributed the films, though the films were released way before Sony bought the company. In fact, the film was made and release when Columbia was owned by--are you ready for this?--COCA-COLA ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... ). That's right, the same people who make Sprite and Full Throttle once tried to get into the entertainment industry and bought Columbia in 1982 and sold it in 1990 to Sony. The two GB films were released during the interim.

Don't know if anyone remembers, but awhile ago when they were talking about giving the axe to this game it was rumored that Sony might step in and publish it. It just make sense, Ghostbusters is a Sony owned property, the original movies were produced by TriStar Columbia, a company owned by Sony.

I just can't wait for a new ghostbusters movie, I heard its supposed to have all the original cast plus some new ghostbusters, Seth Rogen is rumored to be one of them.

I don't know if I would say they are "constantly" removing features. They removed BC but really that is only one feature, and hardly makes a "constantly" scenario. If you are talking about the KZ2 target render, well I would hardly say that was a lie, would you? Oh and the statement that people would buy a PS3 at any price, even without the games, well the eBay scalpers would attest to that. Haha! Good one. At least SONY reaches their target renders when they do use them. It seems the HALO I am constantly being sold looks nothing like the HALO you actually play (see both HALO 3 & HALO Wars). So, who is the one falsely advertising their games? Also, last time I checked almost all SONY games use the in-game engine for their cut scenes (Uncharted, MGS4, R2, etc).
