Mysterious Mistwalker Sketch Isn't From Their Next Game

A few weeks ago a drawing circulated from Kimihiko Fujisaka, an artist employed at Mistwalker. He is working on a new project, but this drawing has nothing to do with it.

In his creator page Fujisaka explains the armored warrior and skeletal dragon is merely a single drawing he did recently. Fujisaka also laments the prior project he as working on was canned. Does he mean Cry On?
