Codemasters outlines Formula One vision

MCV: After omitting the game from its big 2009 announcements last month, publisher Codemasters has told MCV of its plans for its upcoming Formula One title.

"Our game is an opportunity to bring F1 back on multiple platforms to a broader marketplace," marketing vice president Alex Bertie told MCV.

Who cares, as long as the game is good?

I don't really care, myself.

I buy all multiplatform games for my 360 because I hate the PS3's controller with a passion.

Not sure I like the sound of that "phased" approach. Still, I suppose it'd be cool if you bought one version of the game, then kept it up to date via DLC. I'd happily pay maybe 800 points for the next season and some nice updates (graphics, tracks, etc.) that you'd normally have to pay full price for each year.

Well, updating the game each year is a good idea, but more important is updating driver and team stats, old F1 games were bad at this, I mean the last F1 for PS2 was 2006 and yes while Alonso was good, Schuey was driving really bad so a "little" mistake there. In this new game the Lewis will probably be the fastest pilot by default, but as the season progresses this might prove wrong, with updates they can fix things like that.

That means were getting a generic everybody arcade racer. Just save up in GT5P and buy the Ferrari F1.
