Rumor: TMNT Coming Soon To XBLA

Xbox First is reporting that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game will soon be available for purchase on Xbox Live Arcade. Their information comes by way of Xbox's Partnernet, an area of Xbox Live reserved exclusively for devs and select members of the press.

1 - holy sh*t!!

i've always loved this game and if it is true ill be happy as hell. i've been less than impressed with xbla over their last few months of additions but this is nice. playing four players over live will be great. the only weird thing about these screenshots is that it still says "insert coins" on the screen. maybe they just decided to keep it like that though.

Some of the XBLA stick to the original version and so they display "insert coins". Thats cool, it bring back memory, but don't try inserting coins anywhere on your 360 unless you plan on calling customer support.

This was one of the games I was hoping for a long time now.

I wonder if there would also be any chance the game could come out on the PS Store. That way at least I could add another game to my list my games for my PS3 other then Resistance and Flow.

But if not I am thrilled this would happen at all. I hope this is true it would be great news for me and my 360.

Now all I need to see on the Xbox Live Arcade is the Simpsons Arcade game.

Then I would be really thrilled.

if you click the images link it says

"Confirmed TMNT Comes to Xbox Live Arcade"

and underneath it says
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(TMNT) the arcade classic is now up on Microsoft’s PartnerNet. The game is a port of the original with the addition of achievements, 4 player co-op online and offline.

No price or release date annouced."

8 - One Thought.....

F@$%ing Amazing!!!!! This arcade game goes down with the greats. Always would've loved to play a cool port of this TMNT back in the day. The Nintendo version was absolutely fun, and used up less quarters in the long run. fortunately I have some quarters of my own to give for this XBLA addition and not from my mothers purse.

Another announced title for xbla, to bad none of them seem to be coming out of late. Everyone seems to have titles coming soon to xbla and all we get are way too old arcade games from the early 80's.
