Left 4 Dead receives mysterious update on Xbox 360

Joystiq reports: "Left 4 Dead has received an update on Xbox 360, which ... actually, we haven't a clue as to what it did. We've contacted Valve for details regarding the inoculation. Perhaps Valve's statistics have revealed a few nasty cheaters that need to be squished.

We really don't know, but we'll update when Valve gets back to us with exquisitely detailed patch notes. You've "refined the ambient shading algorithms?" Fantastic! Tell us more."

It disables mods and the like. But not the zombies moving stuff exploit.
We need the other 2 campaigns to online.

2 - mabye they got rid of that cart near the elevator
not that it's a common occurrence to most people. Valve's a great company, so I would imagine that they don't like to patch things up when they can.

If you mean 'patched' as in first having to download the patch then also install it you are right, it doesn't. Most updates don't take more than 3-4 seconds to install and use. Imagine that! As long as the patches add things instead of taking things away, like the Home chat downgrade, I don't see the problem. =)

I love how people refer to home as if it were a game. Nice try Jenzo.

Let's see, you control a "character", you do "stuff" and you "grope" girls....sounds like a JRPG to me.

It's actually called exploiting, hence cheating means hacking.

Get a life.

I never came across this cheating stuff, but updates are always nice. Glad to see dedicated console servers too. We need as much of that as we can get.

Someone needs to send an update to valve. All the cheats and exploits I know about still work.
