The Best (And Worst) Of 2008: Sports Legends Editors' Choice Awards

For the second year running, the Xbox 360 is the king of consoles. Barely edging out the impressive PS3, the swanky new dash and the amazing exclusives like Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 put Microsoft over the top. The Wii's casual focus didn't garner it any votes this year.

It will be very hard if not near impossible for the PS3 to ever surpass the number of great titles on 360. Ps3 had a better line up last year than their 2007 line up. But with it taking over 3 years a pop on average to make a standout PS3 exclusive, I don't see it ever happening.

Did you read the article? Although it has the 360 as the best console, their other nominations just don't add up

Game of the Year: LittleBigPlanet - PS3 Exclusive
Xbox 360 Game of the Year: Dead Space - Multiplat
PS3 Game of the Year: LittleBigPlanet - PS3 Exclusive
Best Online Game: Left 4 Dead - PC and 360
Best Action/Adventure Game: Metal Gear Solid 4 - PS3 Exclusive
Best DLC: Bioshock challenge rooms - PS3 Exclusive
Best Boss: Revolver Ocelot - PS3 Exclusive
Best New Character: Sackboy - PS3 Exclusive
Biggest Risk-Taker: Sony - Amen to that!

So the 360 was the best console in 2008, yet this site did not award a 360 exclusive game anything! And don't tell me Left 4 Dead is 'console exlusive'. They have PC nominations on their site too.

That depends on what Microsoft will be releasing in 2009 and beyond and whether it will be considered "quality." We already know what PS3 is bringing in terms of exclusives this year and beyond and it's quite impressive. if Insomniac can release quality PS3 titles every year so can their other first party devs.
