Dead Space Sequel in 2009?

Cool, just bought dead space, haven't opened it because i have finals.

Will open it after a few days. I bought it for $30. I hope its good.

I've always thought that if I made a horror game, it would be set in an abyssal lab. There'd be a moment where you'd have to walk on the abyssal plain to another station (monorail would be broken). All you'd see would be the lights of the other station far away, and you'd be in total darkness. And suddenly the people walking with you are starting to disappear, you start running and you see an arm floating in the water right in front of you! Ha!

Dead Space was a sleeper hit this year and I really loved the game. I wouldn't be surprised if a Dead Space sequel did come out in 2009 because EA is becoming pretty notable for their yearly releases like Madden and Need For Speed.

I just hope that EA doesn't rush the developers just to get the game out.

During the end of the game when Isacc was attacked by that woman that turned into one of those creatures, I think that there's a chance that he could have survived because it didn't show Isacc actually getting killed, so anything is possible.

If EA wants Dead Space to sell more than the first, then Multiplayer would be good, but I don't think that Dead Space needs multiplayer. I would prefer that the developers just concentrate on making the best Single Player experience possible and not get too distracted by the multiplayer. If the next Dead Space game has multiplayer, it will probably be shorter and I don't want that because I spent around 16 hours with the Single Player in Dead Space during my first playthrough and I want the sequel to be just as long.

it is the best horror game in this generation and for me it is better than RE4. I had to finished the game 3 times straight, for the first time it is really scary and for second time it is action because you have upgrade all weapons which is really cool, and the third time for impossible difficulty. the last boss is just incredible boss which is better than all RE bosses. I am dying to get my hands on the next dead space.

It was a pretty amazing gaming experience. EA did gamers of both platforms justice by delivering such a great game. They have "semi-earned" my trust back for now. It was obvious there would be a sequel in the end of the first game and I personally can't wait for it (the sequel) to arrive. I however, am not sure if multiplayer is the way to go for this game. As long as it doesn't distract from the single player campaign... then I guess I am all for anything they decide to add.

I love... yes i LOVE this game.

it is my personal game of the year !

i really, really, really hope they don't rush it and F it up !

The game does not need multiplayer, its not that type of game.
i loved the story especially the last few stages were so much is revealed.

in my own mind, i think they should take another 3 years for the next one. If i could do my own thing with it. I would make it an RPG, i just want to play dead space for hours the way i have been playing Fallout.

I would make it so it starts of on the planet colony and everything is kind of normal. as the marker is pulled up everything starts to change and the horror begins. or i would make it a coop game, but maybe only coop online. each person would start at different parts of the game and have to do different objectives to help the other person move forward with their mission. At somepoints you would meet up to fight bosses etc and then you would get split up again etc.

anyway, thats just my thought.

the game is great and i am keeping it in my special box with halo 1, gta boxset, cod 4.

did anyone else feel really bad when the Doc kills the engineer ( temple ) & the doc. the people who had been leaving the audio messages. i didn't know it was them till my 3rd play through.. .i was so mad i didn't get to blow his head off while he was still human ! i was really upset.

EA makes Dead Space so of course they wouldn't wait around for 2 years or so. These are the same people that push out Madden and such each year so i'm sure they can release a Dead Space sequel on time. Plus, Dead Space was first announced sometime in 2007 so i'm sure they can take a year or so to make as good of a game as the first.

I wonder how they'll make a sequel on that...well we don't one thing...did the necromorph kill Issac? I think not because the necromorph would have nowhere to go anyways. Even if it did...notice how it's not a necromorph-maker! In any case I have a bad feeling about this sequel. EA is going to screw it all up. Like comments before mine...I do agree this is Resident Evil in space!
