MS only bundles E rated games so usually the pack-ins aren't that great, at least for my gaming tastes. They did do the Halo 3 game with the Halo LE console but that is a rarity.

at Futureshop right now if you buy an X360 you get the 2 pack in games (Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones) as well as Gun, Dark Sector and Stranglehold all free. I almost jumped on that and got an Elite but i'm saving for a blackberry storm so i didn't :(

xbox360 here cost 330$ (Arcade).
the first xbox360 i bought about 1.3 year ago costed me 600$ with 1 game and it was SHReK the THiRD.

6 - yeah i just got mines the day before thanksgiving,

and it is the jasper model,i havent bought any games for it yet,and im still a little reluctant to take my tv off the wall to fiddle with the extra hdmi port(my ps3 is currently occupying one),i been saying this all along that the 360 isnt as bad as people make in seem,my cousin still has the launch model and he still rocks the house everyday on it,but i must admit that even tho i wanted one,after buying the wii for my kids and the ps3 for myself i simply couldnt afford one,but i got a good deal and im proud for owning one.

6.1 - if you don't want to move your tv

you can always just pull the hdmi out of the ps3 and put it in the 360, or vice versa. Thats what I do (because of only one hdmi port) but it works fairly easily...and its not like i'd use them both at the same time anyway.

9 - I just bought a PS3

And boy do i feel empty. There isnt the same sens of community as ther eis on the xbox. I feel like a stranded boater on an island. NO headset, I need an xbox in my life. I can't play madden with that controller. How can anyone think those anolog sticks are precise. THe DS anolog stick = the 360 d pad. Complete crap. I miss my old 360. Why did I make that foolish choice( blu-ray movie player made me buy it)why?

why not have both? my plan is to eventually have all 3 consoles, buy exclusives on the Wii and the X360 and buy all multiplats/exclusives on my PS3 since that is my platform of choice. Then you never miss out on anything :)

I have both the 360 and the PS3, and the PS3 just feels empty online. On the 360, all my friends have headests and we can all jump in a group chat and easily chat while gaming. Only 2 of my friends on PSN actually have a bluetooth headset, so the online gaming is not as "community friendly" on PSN. This is the biggest reason I buy all my cross platform games on the 360 (that, and while I'm not a gamerscore whore, it is still cool unlocking achievments, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when that little achievement unlocked icon pops up).

11 - just recently got the 120gb dr

A good friend of mine scored me a retail 120gb hdd for the 360 for $81. He works at target and it was on clearance (???) for $90 and he got another $9 off. Now I am all set to install lost odyssey. I figured I would only install multidisc games as I dont really have any issue with the noise of the dvd drive.

I have it generally connected to my 30" samsung in the play room. It is set to 1080i but I recently got a 42" samsung plasma for the front room. I just had to try it out on that. Rather than disconnect the hd component cables, I opted to use my vga cable. I could only do 1024x768 (wide) as that was the max PC res of the set. WOW is all I can say. I played guitar hero with my son and it was awesome in career co-op. We even hooked up the 360 hddvd drive for some transformer entertainment.

Mine is a dec 05 model and I am really wanting to change out for the arcade as I want me an hdmi connection.

Xbox360 really let me down.I regret wasting almost 250$ on this DVD player.I hate all it's games.I only bought it because i wanted to play fable 2.Wow.What a fail that game was.No freedom at all.
Oblivion > fable 2

Wasted almost 70$ just so i could play online,29.99$ for a proprietary headset.And now i can't even play online unless i buy a proprietary HDD to download the "NXE" (Which i don't want) So i'm basically screwed.Thanks microsoft !

If you bought a Premium you got a headset included for free. I have the camera and the chat-thing as well and they both came with headsets as well, so now I've got 3 of them. Microsoft are generous.

Why don't you want to download NXE? If you knew anything about it you'd know that if you click the guide button (PS button in your case) you get the original blade navigation.

fw updates for the ps3 are mandatory as well. If I dont update I can't get online either. See..it goes both ways. NXE is nothing more than a new interface. Fresh coat of paint on the wall. Should sony decide to change the xmb to something more integrated with home. There by eliminating the xmb you normally see when you turn it on and basically go into home square. I wouldnt raise such a fuss considering it is just part of owning the system. You follow along with the changes made. Good or bad it is all part of being a gamer.

To protest the nxe simply because you have to download it to play online is childish. Everyone knows that in order to take advantage of what live has to offer you need the nxe and a hdd. Which is why I offered. Id hate to see you miss out.

It probably throws you to see a 360 gamer extending kindness to another 360 gamer. I havent seen the likes of that on ps3. No offense.

I just got my 360 not too long ago, I gotta say I was surprised. I am a long time Playstation fan, but the 360 is probably going to be my new console of choice. I already have a group of pals that I meet up with online every Friday night, the console has literally changed my life.

got a ps3 a couple months back. I used to be just a 360 gamer. Now I enjoy both. Not entirely equal but I do find time to play res2 with my buddy while playing guitar hero with my kids. Soon we will be enjoying rock band on the wii together.

My 360 pack in was just Halo 3 which is good

and my PS3, was spiderman 3 (awful, sold it), COD3 (pretty bad, hard to believe COD4 and COD WaW come from the same line of games) and R6V (which i still love, and bought R6V2 on launch day)
