Kool 360 has tilt sensing. but with it only being on new controllers will it be worth it for devs to incorporate in there games. Microsoft will most likely make it standard.

I don't think they will do the same mistake as Sony did with the SixAxis gimmick.
Btw, it's not being made by Microsoft.

I have to confess, as a PS3 owner , the motion sensing is pretty much useless in many games...
But, There are a few titles it actually does work in.
Uncharted, while moving across a log... Albeit, Once (he he)
Resistance FOM , shake it to put the flames out, while you, as the player is on fire. Excellent when playing MP.
Dark Sector to control the Flying Glade , but you could turn this off... Lessons learnt from Lair.
But the winner, PSN's High Velocity bowling. Works a treat. Definitely the best implementation (read FUN) of the motion sensing I've seen in a PS3 game.
All I'm saying here is, If MS considers and employs it, and developers implement it PROPERLY, It can actually be a worth while addition.

I also think that sixaxis is implemented pretty well in wipeout HD, Heavenly Sword, LittleBigPlanet and Warhawk, as well as the above mentioned.
Sure, its not for everybody. But I'm glad it was added to the controllers.

just my own little rant about the sixaxis...which i just realized the last post is a palindrome
the implementation for most games sucks. its almost always easier to just turn it off and use the sticks than to actually try and use the motion controls. i find it especially irritating because it does not sense the degree of tilt from left to right, seems more like a "on/off" switch to me, which i find hard to manage.
recently i have been using it for socom, to peek out around corners, and it works fairly well. the big issue im having, however, it throwing grenades. you are supposed to tilt it back in order to throw overhand, or you will just underhand toss it like, 3 feet in front of you. this is a stupid implementation, imo. its tricky to get it to register you tilting the controller back, and there is a unsettling large chance that right before you throw the grenade, it will think that you stopped tilting back, prompting you to granny toss the grenade 5 feet in front of you, rather than 30. perhaps im not understanding the grenade mechanics, but really, the sixaxis has let me down yet again.
and agreed with above, it may not always been great, but at least we have the option of trying it out. theres always the option to turn if off if they suck.

this isnt a ms sanctioned product, is it?
i doubt that ms would allow for "turbo buttons". if that is the case, then what is the point in adding tilt sensors when there arent going to be any games that support it on 360? i mean, sixaxis is rarely implemented well, and that IS sanctioned by sony. what developers are going to add in motion controls to a 360 game just because a 3rd party has released a controller with tilt sensors.
i guess its "cool" and "flashy", but really this controller has no advantages over the regular xbox controller, other than the "turbo buttons" which most consider cheating.
as a last thought, i really doubt that ms is going to implement tilt controls into the 360; these big companies have enormous egos, and to blatantly rip off sixaxis, iono, just doesnt seem like they would do it without trying to 1up sony somehow.

I don't think applications must specifically develop for tilt sensing to implement this. It's all about the signals being sent to the xbox so if you tilt it upwards, the controler can send a signal to the Xbox like you moved the left stick upwards and so forth. This still looks very gimmicky imo.

Basically they are copying more Sony features that they once said were bad right? They do it a lot. They need to make their own stuff.

It's a third party controler. MS is not designing or making it.

8 - Interesting
It really isn't considered cheating if it is available for everybody and at a decent price. I understand that people would think that "I already payed for the game, and accessories. Why should I have to pay extra just to have an equal chance to win". Anyway that is just my opinion on that type of subject.

If your a comnpetitive runner you buy lighter shoes, if your a competitive skier you buy better skis and high performance wax. if your a swimmer you wax your chest and cyclists shave their legs. If your into winning you try to get every advantage out of your equipment. Online MP is competition if you don't like it their is single player and even MP bots in some games. I dont like cheating using mods etc but a readily available product is fine with me.

Whoa! is that some of Sony's innovation (which everyone laughed at, originally) being praised by third party perpherial makers for the 360?
Gosh, how times have changed.
(Make tilt work for rolling in EDF2017 somehow, please)

Will not be standard this gen. Too late to add on and make standard. Same as with Wiimote for PS3 or XB360. Add-on yes, but not standard.

13 - I really don't care about motion sensing
Just fix that damn d-pad!
Excellent controller but whats the point in adding a bunch of random crap no-one needs and not fixing the only glaring issue with the 360 controller.
also wow way to encourage turbo-fire noobs.
We'll only need motion sensing when we run out of buttons. Gears and fable still just waste the Y button, and many titles don't use much of the d-pad yet, although this is undertandable, just looking at the 360 d-pad hurts my brain. Such. Bad. Design.
And my 360 just RROD'd. Thank god for my PC
