Gamespot: Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts Review

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a fantastically fun update to an aging formula. The easy vehicle-creation tool makes even the craziest ideas possible, and the missions let you exert your creative muscle in spectacular fashion. Aside from a few control quirks and frame-rate issues, N&B is a joy from beginning to end, providing a constant string of new parts and objectives to keep you entertained for a long time. If this is the direction that the Banjo franchise is going in, let's hope it's not another eight years between games.

That's a bit of an overreaction, don't you think? The guy doesn't like the art style and thinks it's too far removed from the original. I don't care for the art style I've seen of this game either. "all the whining and hate towards a plastic box" How did you get whining and hate out of that? He's just giving his honest opinion. If anyone needs to grow up and not be so defensive about a "plastic box," I'd think you might need to take a hard look at yourself.

Edit: This game has a number of scores around the 60 mark. I suppose you're emailing all those reviewers and telling them to stop the hate as well, eh?

nickel had every right to say what he did. When I read obviously biased statements like:

"-vomit inducing clashing art style" (I for one love the style in Banjo-Kazooie, and seriously doubt anyone is going to vomit over it)

"-it sucks" (I haven't played Nuts & Bolts too much yet, but I love what I've seen so far)

And when people say "for me, this is the final nail in the xbox 360s coffin." you know they're just spewing garbage out of their mouth. Do you really think that Banjo-Kazooie of all things is going to kill the 360? And even if you meant it's killing your interest in it, I must ask, how could a game that you're not even playing kill your interest? There's plenty of games on the horizon for the 360, and I doubt Banjo-Kazooie is offending you in any way.

Once either of you actually play the ACTUAL GAME and not the demo, then you can reasonably say it deserves a 6/10. For me, it's 7.5 - 8 material, nothing amazing but it's still great. Honestly, I doubt either one of you have played the demo or the actual game, and are just itching to trash any 360 game you see.

just my opinion.

if i was to say it was amazing, the best game ever. would you tell me to grow up then? just because i speak negatively about a game you regard highly, doesn't make my opinion a joke.

YOU are taking it too serious by defending the game like its your loved one.

the game sucks :o)

* edit- 6/10 is a reasonable and honest score for this game. 8.5/10 is a joke

lets put this into context here.. the same site gave little big planet 9.0/10. little big planet IS worth that. banjo kazooie is not a smidgen behind little big planet is it? no, its in a whole league below.

lbp is visionary. banjo kazooie is merely ambitious.

you really feel for this game don't you. my condolences for you and your unfortunate purchase of this mediocre game.

i'm entitled to my opinions, regardless of whether they are positive or negative. my points are valid and justifiable.

instead of putting all your effort into observing the behaviour of OTHERS and their replies, why don't you comment on the story.

Only reason this game has gotten those 9's or any high scores is because it's a 360 exclusive. I've played this game and it blows more than a hooker. Had this game been a PS3 exclusive, every site would give it the score it deserves, which would be 6's and below. Not being bias, this game blows that much. Because of Rare's recent releases I pray they don't release a Killer Instinct only to destroy it =(.

I'm just saying that a lot of reviewers are bias and this is the only account I have. I'm assuming you're confusing me with those people who come on here and bash games with their fan boy remarks. I was just giving my opinion. Banjo sucks, I liked the 64 versions but this one just sucks.

I swear Sony fans make no sense. You get a Banjo game that does something different and they're yelling "why did they change the franchise?" But if it didn't change they would still argue with "it's the same game"

Ie- for me.

This is a major title for the 360. But it sucks.

When you consider buying a console, you take into account what games you will want. Seeing as this title is one of the titles that would potentially sway ME to buy a 360, the fact that it sucks is the final nail in its coffin. FOR ME. Understood?

Hence why i also said i would DEFINITELY be getting a ps3 now: Because this banjo game sucks.
