1.1 - At the end of the day...
the whole attraction to the MK Series are the fatalities.

I can remember getting my copy of MK2 on the SNES when I was a kid, with my guide book with all the moves and fatalities in there, trying them all out, just to see all the gore, decapitations and other gory deaths being roles out by the MK Characters.

After watching this video, MK has lost all of that substance that made it a MK game. No blood, no gory fatalities...what's the point?

All that goodness sacrificed for a teen rating. Surely the guys who made this game realise that even if this was given a mature rating, all the kids would get there hands on it. Just look at GTA4, ask any PS3 or X360 kid if they've played GTA4, and most likely they have.

2.1 - It's not as bad as it looks
I thought I'd hate MK vs DC because I've hated all of them since MK3, but this one is actually pretty good. They take it back a bit and give it a more accesible combo system, as well as getting rid of all the silly weapons and crap.

The plot is silly, but fun to watch and laugh at.

like 2 of them were good... Most of them looked like Normal moves ud see in game. This is the biggest let down in MK Yet.

i have owned every MK game since it was created.. be it for sega .. n64.. ps1... ps2 .. x-box...

I couldn't even stand to look any further than Lui Kang's. This game is one of the biggest failures ever. I think they should have just kept working on MK 8 instead of making this.

that was terrible...not to mention that freaking voice got really annoying.

the only half way decent ones were the jokers and sub zeros first one..everything else was just embarrassing

Whats happening to these franchises on the next gen consoles? First the freaking NFS goes down the drain, Socom fails on ps3, GTAIV not better than GTAIII, now MK turns into a softcore teen game. I thought next gen was supposed to bring us more gritty and hardcore experiences and all we get lego batman, lego star wars, LBP, viva pinata. Let the casual gamers go to wii and let us have some hard core adult experiences like Dead space.

Dead Space is my GOTY. I thought MGS4 was OK but don't really have any desire to play it again. I'm going to sell it this weekend I reckon while it still has some value and buy Bioshock instead.

Excellent! Now I don't need to buy the game.

Edit:

You know what? I watched the first minute and then switched off (I got to Kitana's first one). They suck, they suck really badly.

The only thing that made MK good in the first place was the fatalities, but now that it doesn't even have these to appeal to the masses, the game is over.

I live in Canada and wanted the uncensored version. It just shipped so I should have it soon. Joker fatality is the best!!!

It's also been confirmed there will be downloadable content. New characters etc...

The Mortal Kombat finishers haven't been good since MKII

These are probably the most boring fatalities I've ever seen. I get it, they're playing it T friendly but at least throw in some babyality and friendship finishers in there

17 - The fatalitys have been repetative for over a decade now
Im glad the gameplay is the best in the MK series in years. I've played this game every day since I bought the Kollectors Edition for my PS3 on sunday. It's so sad this game is being over looked. Fatalitys are a staple to the MK series, YES. But they've gotten so stupid and boring since the game left 2-d (even then they were iffy), but I just don't care too much. Any form of them is fine with me at least. But the main core gameplay, you know that stuff you do the most in the game? it's actually pretty good and Im enjoying the game!
