Right now at rank 3, it's funny with my friend, he gets to rank 3, then our next game we lose...he ranks down...then we win our next 2 matches...he ranks back up...we lose our next...back down, he can't even hold that 3rd rank lol

Hoping to get to that 4th soon! lol

Haha, that's how I ended up being for awhile.. but now I'm pretty solid for rank 3. I've had to have been close to rank 4 quite a few times, but people lagging out/quitting out don't help your cause.

i love playing wingman. i guess halo skills translated into gears skills. although i suck terribly with sniper but in halo im pretty good. never really played the first gears online.

Every online game should use XP and levels in my opinion. The Gears ranking system doesn't motivate me much to play ranked games.

3 - Why call it true skill?
Its all dependent on your team's skill. You can win mvp every game, but if your team loses, than the "true skill" system will rank you low.

Makes no sense. How bout actually ranking the person, not the random team he gets matched up with.

I agree. And only five skill levels is ridiculous. Not only does it mean you'll feel like you'r egetting nowhere, but it ends up matching people with diverse skill levels all the time, so it seems like it doesn't even try to match you with people of your same skill level.

That's what I was thinking. You shouldn't be punished or rewarded based on what your team does. It should be about what YOU do.
