Ace Gamez writes: " Another year, another basketball game from the sports genre giants, EA. NBA Live has years of heritage and is blessed with immense popularity among sports game fans, so there isn't much need for me to delve further into its history. Furthermore, if I did, I would be undermining the fact that it's such a popular game, because I have personally 'fallen out' with the series during the past decade. I was in love with NBA Live when I first played it in 1997, but in my humble opinion it peaked around the turn of the millennium and has been going downhill ever since.
EA Sports has still managed to make the most exciting basketball game I have played so far though, in the form of NBA Street V3, so I can't bad mouth them too much, and they are pioneers of sports in videogame form after all. On the other hand, even the NBA Street series has begun to crumble a little around the edges, with the last iteration, Homecourt, deserving of a decent but not amazing 7/10."
