I sense a bs. He wrote he received death threats although no comments and only 4 votes(including mine one) have been casted where everyone without registration can vote.
BTW it's Osmodis420 article, posted by Osmodis420 and guess who's admin there. Yeah, Osmodis420.
As you can see on comments below, he pretty much looks like fanboy so If he's lying about being PS3 only user implying that X games are better we can think he's lying. So basically if he made up this crap, he can also make up this death threats story.

It leads to conclusion it may be pretty much click hyena.

The game is a true gem. I can't remember when I laughed as much as I have at LBP when it comes to any other game. This is truly a fresh new look at what gaming can be. It's a bar setter if you will.

They should include a ranking site that is not affiliated with Cnet to add a little objectivity to the equation. IGN has gamestats.com which ranked them as follows:

LBP: 9.6
Gears 2: 9.4
Resistance 2: 9.4
Fable 2: 9.1

That would change the outcome of their results to:
1 LBP
2 Gears 2
3 Resistance 2
4 Fable 2

no idea why I am feeding a rat...but Gears 2 will not win GOTY from ANY credible source...nor will Resistance 2...

MGS4 received a perfect 10 from Gamespot, Gamepro, and IGN...the only other title to do that was GTAIV...which on principle alone leaves those to only to fight it out for game of the year...LBP will most likely take it from everywhere else...

and, Gears 2 does look great...its absolutely no MGS4...when you take into account stiff facial animation...very samey particle effects to every other UE3 based game...and very little use of the added 3.5 effects, its not the best looking console game ever made...

its not just me saying that either...Gears 2 definitely has some parts that are absolutely awesome looking (particularly that underground lake/fish battle thing)...but there are also parts that don't live up to that quality...MGS4 never has that happen...it looks stunning from start to finish no matter what the circumstances...the lighting is consistently perfect, and the animation is beyond what nearly any other title has managed to pull off...this is exactly what has been said by all major reviews...compare the comments on visuals between the 2...you'll see what I am talking about...

that doesn't mean Gears 2 is a bad looking game...and it overall has nothing to do with GOTY...any other time Gears 2 would definitely be grabbing the honors (hell last year it wouldn't have even been a question)...but 2008 is a whole lot different than 2007...just because everyone is hyped up about LBP, R2, and Gears 2 right now...doesn't mean we can forget the stuff that came out earlier in the year...

resistance visuals are alot more challengeing witch made the visuals more compelling then quears of war 2,witch is taking in one seeting of shades so makes it easier to repeat the same shading and textures for each set peice... as in resistance youve got different settings and more colors witch therefore makes it more intereting on how to blend the visuals together with all the different settings (i.e: darkmelow,day,dawn,midnight,su nset ect ect..) and having that reflect on enimies is INCREDIBLE by insomniac.

oh and just so you can get a better idea of the graphics PP on quears of war 2.... UNCHARTED witch is a game that over a year ago had its release,has better visuals then quears 2. (its b@d@zz for ps3) yet so dissapointing for xc0x lovers... knowing that such a big popular company such as epic failed against an indie small company (only like70 peeps) were able to dominate them.

so if fantasizing about quears 2 getting GOTY gets you a boner at night in bed then feel free,but wen it comes down to to the end of the year and your preciouse doesnt win and is not EVEN announced..... i could only imagine you crying blood tears and go into an Epic coma lol.
