This are two epic boss battles you will encounter throughout the Campaign one against a huge monster at the end of Chapter 3 and a badass one against Skorge who wields a double-ended spear. They contain minor story spoilers but mostly show off how badass the game is.

Yeah that is big but nowhere near the scale of the Leviathan, I mean the Leviathan has him breaking tall buildings to show how big the guy really is

The one thing though that we gamers get are massive bosses that have never been seen before, thats our reward for competition =)

WOW second post and fanboys already running their mouth. But anywho let me refresh some memories, you want to talk about easy don't get me started on Resistance 2 in co-op mode you just stand around the boss just shooting it not even having to move, you cant tell me the titan and the robot thing isn't easy. Obviously this dood has played those bosses a few time in Gears 2, he knew exactly what to do so he did make it look fairly simple. Still epic in terms of visual quality and scale.

As usual Dom just sits and watches while Marcus does all the work but he does provide his usual humor at the end

But that aside, looks like a great game, I just wish they could have fixed the textures up a bit and added less cover-up blur and such, but should be a fun game! It looks great in motion!

I have a xbox 360, it's my third one. It's unplugged under my 52 inch bravia. I don't use it anymore, why? Because I got bored of Table Tennis (yes I know......why did I buy that game?), i played through Top Spin 2 four times, I played through Gears of War 2 4 times on singeplayer and 3 times on co-op, and loved having people over and playing against each other. I have Dead or Alive 4, didn't like it so much.

I have 3 controllers, premium model, a remote.

So ah, I guess I have your permission......because I really needed it.

P.S Just because the truth hurts (Resistance 2 smashes gears graphics. examples above), you don't have to get all touchy feely and angry about it. there's a reason you only have two bubbles buddy. cheers

that looks like a reaver, a standard creature that was in Gears 1 but never landed on the ground, that is no f'n boss.

GTFOH.

Also, listening to 1up yours, that R2 boss sounds boring as hell, listen to 1up yours and your dreams of that so called cool ass boss just might shatter, but I doubt it, for obvious reasons.

Look at the picture and tell me that isn't a damn reaver.

I have to say, impressive. The thing looks gorgeous.

But why does it look so goddamn EASY!?

I miss the bosses of old days, ones that had patterns and required you to learn through basically gettin ur ass kicked a few times.

that would probably happen here had you not watched the video

the giant creature has a very distinct pattern that opens up a weakness

also, just like many of the videos posted this seems to be a lower difficulty

They use the chainsaw (Lancer Assault Rifle) for everthing, I'm guessing it's going to be like that for the whole game. Where everyone is just going to use one gun or at least have that gun equipped the whole time in order to beat most of the bosses.

It looks amazing, but it does look a little too easy. They both have the same attack pattern, but the Scourge (???) fight will be a little more difficult with the bombers running around. I hate to get into this, but I'm very impressed with the graphics, and I want no need to see more Resistance 2 campaign graphics to see how the two compare. I'm sure Gears 2 will fend off Resistance 2 graphics wise, but Resistance has put up a huge resistance this time.

I hope in the retail version of Resistance 2 that the Co-op and Online multiplayer look almost as good as the campaign.

8 - 2nd boss is god like fun
Best boss I seen in the game. First boss not so much. That one looks like it doesn't pose a challenge. Really scripted. Too much for my taste.

RE:4 paid homage to Alien with Salazar's right hand man when you fight him in the sewers.

GOW2 pays homage to Predator. Yes the Scorge look exactly like the predator be he's is fuking awesome period. I not even going to watch the spoiler because i want to do this myself.

R:2 pays homage to oldschool B movies.

If your going to complain about rip offs then complain about everything and not just this you fuking moron. Everything is always a rip off/Copy of something. Cliffy B just made about 1 million more people pay attention to the predator hunter now.

Just face it GOW2 looks good don't it.

I'm guessing you're a fan of Resistance 2 more so than Gears 2. Well the boss on the San Francisco level of Resistance 2 is almost identical to the one in Gears so I guess they also ripped off Dead Space. Answer No. Dead Space was not the first game to have a octopus creature in it. I mean we can say Dead Space ripped off Mario Galaxy then. All developers include things in their game that they think are cool and what gamers will like, and I think both Gears 2 and Resistance 2's octopus monsters are great.

But the battle in Resistance 2 is a little more exciting then the one in Gears, but it doesn't look quite as good. It looks amazing, but not as good as Gears 2. Check it out on Gamespot's Resistance to Launch Room (I think Gamespot is going to give this game a super high rating based off how much the guy playing it has enjoyed the game, and he is the reviewer). Resistance 2 and Gears 2 are the best shooters for 08'.

You can't compare the first boss to Levaithan but yeah you can compare him to Cracken in R2. I ACCIDENTALY saw it in a video at Gamersyde:(

13 - can epic just quite counting on scripted fight sceens.
Epic should let you do damage with all the great weapons gears2 has. those fight seq were weak. i am sorry but weak. when predator pushed off the ground to jump. i would of chainsawed him, shotgun blasted him ect... not watch him jump torwards the moon. these seems like the attack patern from games build 5 to 10 years ago if not further. i hope the mp is better then the campaign. they should make gears a only mp game. there story mode is a waste of processing power and disc usage..

...is one kick ass looking game. Say what you might about the AI but the game just looks like a real blast - just like the first one.

I for one would like to see this on the PS3 as good games like this should be played by as many as possible.

17.1 - Yeah he looks large as hell though
But ry fighting the Second to last boss in Devil May Cry. He fuking Gigantic. He even shoot a Laser off od his back you have to teleport behind him not to get hit lol! He had to be the largest boss i fought so far.

Shame on this site and the mods who so called put the power on the peoples hand. I guess they should change the name from N4G to "The Rapture" in Bioshock.The mods gave power to the people and they all went crazy and killed each other behind it. Why should i expect less from this site. People inject theselves with the Plasmids call "fanboy" around here and fight each other for EVE hypo.No wonder there's so much syringes on the floor around here. Wow talk about scripted, was that the best they can do? 6 hour campaign and fighting bosses boring like that? I mean a huge monster and couldnt even take down that ship? Plus did you see the way the water washed over the ship LOLL what terrible water effects. Honestly I like the first gears it was fun but the second is really not pushing any boundaries of gameplay or graphics whatsoever it looks more of the same.
