GameSpot: Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? Review

GameSpot writes: "With the addition of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? to the Xbox 360's growing stack of quiz games, you have yet another solid collection of questions to dip into. Though you might scoff at the price of 1,200 Microsoft points, your 15 bucks goes a long way in this well-realized Xbox Live Arcade adaptation of the popular TV gameshow. The wide variety of subjects, the seemingly endless questions, and a stellar vibe that fully brings the elementary-school-themed television show to life make Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? a worthy inclusion on your list of downloadable games, a few minor hindrances notwithstanding."

The Good

* Lots of trivia questions
* Many subjects/categories to choose from
* Fully captures the gameshow's vibe
* Multiplayer is fun with family and friends.

The Bad

* Some questions are out of place and way too tough
* Jagged edges on character models
* Poor Big Button Pad implementation.

I ****ing hate this game. They ask some questions I was never taught in 5th Grade, therefore I couldn't get it. Also the standards for 5th Grade wasn't the same 22 years ago, so one more way that show catches the contestants off guard. I hate the host, I want to burn his mustache off and take his glasses just so I can stomp on it right in front of him. Then I'm going to kill him.

The game should be renamed "Are you smarter than a 5th Grader 22 years ago?" to make things fair.
