Obviously you haven't played it cuz, this game is FREAKIN AWESOME!!! Molyneux is a little over emotional, but gotta give him credit for being compassionate about his work. I mean would you rather someone like him or guys over at EA who put out generic garbage.

Besides, you really think Peter Molyneux will take a stroll to the N4G comments? I don't think so. It's odd that many PS3 games get slammed for having no multiplayer or no single player and Fable 2 is given a free pass on its online co-op.

Yeah but none of the reviews have been considered with co-op in mind, however their score has been based on the fact that co-op is coming. If the co-op was seriously broken, that could affect the review score. But we now don't know anything about the co-op from the reviews.

I'm not saying the Fable 2 reviews are incorrect, rather that the reviews of games without a Single Player/Multiplayer component are unjustified in using that as a criticism. It's like rating a movie down because it doesn't have any interactive elements.

Well Socom is multiplayer only...so...idk

That game should have been ready at launch though, so I could understand it's score. I'm sure the game will be fine, and as long as reviewers state that Socom will improve over time thats good. However Socom definitely deserved it's score being that it didn't deliver on day. Especially when the game is only multiplayer, the reviewers had nothing else to comb through

I take the criticism that "it doesn't have a multiplayer/singleplayer" to be more of a criticism of the mode the game DOES have. Like no one complained about BioShock having no multiplayer because the single player was awesome. I agree that if the online coop ends up being broken on Fable 2, I'd be annoyed at the review. However, if there's no technical problems, the coop and single-player are sort of the same content, aren't they? Ultimately magazines/websites want their review to be up as soon as possible and they didn't want to lose traffic by waiting a week to try out the coop.

I donno.. so what if he's a bit emotional over it. It's gotta be massive presure to deliver a game that is well receieved. (huge money/hopes on the line)

Not a big surprise there. Peter is prone to emotional outbursts. He's probably a PR nightmare for MS when he gets in front of the microphone. Honesty and emotion are bad for press and politics.
