Innovation Alert: 'Fable II' Has Sideways Boxart

Stephen Totilo of MTV Multiplayer writes:
"I got the collector's edition of "Fable II" from Microsoft today. The game ships for the Xbox 360 next week. Will the game break new ground? Who knows. Will the boxart? Well, you tell me when you last saw horizontally-aligned gaming box art."

Check out the shadows for the front of the box and the back of the box. Kinda gives a hinty-hint that appearances can be deceiving.

Lol at title of article . . . however. As cool as sideways boxing may look, its completely impractical. There isn't enough shelf space to display all games sideways, lol. Unless you want to display the game sideways buy putting it behind the glass sitting straight up?

It won't work. People will just turn it sideways (the right way) because then the hing will be on the left and it will be easy to open. If they want it landscape, they need to make it like a CD case and have it open right to left with the hinge on the left.
