Microsoft Introduces New 360 Bundles for Europe

For under 100 pounds for a 360 its not too late AT ALL. Sony needs to drop price to keep pace but EU generally seems uninterested in the 360

sony doesn't own Europe. that belongs to the nintendo. i mean seriously. everytime i head down to my local game or gamestation or hmv, wii is sold out, always. It is just never in stock here in the uk.

It's a great package for New Xbox 360 owners. I wouldn't say Sony owns Europe. They are still in 3rd place (In Europe). With the recent price drop for 360, the latest stats show Xbox 360 out selling the PS3. Plus, Nintendo really owns Europe. European sales charts are congested with DS and Wii games.

I think Microsoft could have done better in their game choices for the pro and elite. Perhaps Mass Effect and Ace Combat would have been a better bundle or Maybe Banjo-Kazooie and Too Human.

Just from some of the stupid posts I see from you guys I imagine a group of scientists should look into it. You do realize that most estimates put the 360 at about even with the PS3 in Europe?

VGchartz even has the 360 ahead of the PS3 in Europe and Others - 7.8 million to 7.3 million-- http://www.vgchartz.com/

Sony doesn't "own" anything but the relatively small market of Japan and they're even losing ground there. The Wii owns Europe.

The 360 starts at £129.99 here in the UK mate, not under £100. And that is for the bare bones Arcade. The cheapest bundle is like £139.99

An Elite with Halo 3 is £149.99

Another £60 gets you a PS3 80 gig with MGS4

That's right, an equivalent bundle AND a top quality Blu-Ray player for only another £60 and that's without trying to shop around.

Value for money lies where?

Free games are free games, but they could of choose slighty better ones

At least this way it does maximise sales for heavy hitters like fable and gears which are going to sell millions even without being bundled

Who do Microsoft think buys the Elite? They are not the type of people who would want to play Kung Fu Panda! Why not package Halo3 with it or GoW1 as a taster, its the sort of thing people who buy the elite wanna play.

Other than that, a nice promotion for a decent price but still don't think it is enough to rival Nintendo this xmas; Wii is still cool and even if the PS3/360 were being given away for free with 10 games they couldn't compete for the will of a girlfriend who wants to play WiiFit.

I'm thinking about purchasing a 360, but I dunno.. I keep hearing about a possible slim model. And these bundles sure as hell aren't going to motivate me to buy one either. If MS wants my money, they better make a Geow + Mass effect bundle or something...

But I won't buy one till at least next year, since the PS3 has a lot of games this fall, and I'll be pretty broke at the end of the year :P
