I was extremely skeptical that the water effects were going to be as good as that tech demo shown, but my god! they looked amazing, the reaver scenes are intense! :) cannot wait to pick up my gears with cog tags and weird locust figurine! :):):)

if the rest of the campaign is ANYTHING like this, we have a win!

From the video ,it still looks like Gears 1, there is still no dynamic lighting and shadowing which hampers the graphics considerably.
and i'm sorry that the tagline "Bigger, better , and more badass" does nothing for me , it sounds like a phrase from the old GI-JOE action figure commercials. but yeah, whatever impresses the kids.

I can't say I'm blown away by it but the waterfall and the depth of field effects look great.

From that vid (I know it's only 640x360) it looks a little washed out and there isn't the quality of texture found in the screens that have been posted the last few months,and I still think it looks a little foggy towards the back of each scene.

The game play looks as solid as the first,but I'm not sold on the flying sections,they look a little boring,possibly because this type of chase mechanic has been hammered by every game after GTA3.

No doubt it will sell really well but i cant see it getting the universal reception the first one did from the press this time around.

If I get it then I'll be waiting until December time.

That reaver part looks like a lot of fun, I am getting more and more hyped for this game! I can't wait. About a week ago I bought a year of xbox live, finally. Now I'm ready to play some online (getting my ass kicked in halo though).

Gears 2 is awesome. Did you see those insane graphics during the reaper chase? No?

Dude, chill the f#ck out, and just admit you were impressed. its okay little buddy, no one will bite ya...

By the way, for you to even mention rail shooting, proves you know nothing about Gears. If Gears 2 is anything like Gears 1, than the game is all about cover. The flying sequences just add depth.

17.3 - If you read IGN's preview (lol, who am I kidding)
you would have discerned that Gears 2 essentially improves on the same formula as Gears 1. Bearing that in mind, it necessarily follows that Gears 2 will be similar to gears 1, regarding cover mechanics.

The rail shooting showcased in the video is disproportionate to the actual game play of act I. Judging by the written review, Gears will still be very much about duck & run gameplay. Okay?

There's no need for you to start ranting childishly about something you don't know. Like i said earlier, just let yourself smile when you watch the preview.

Go look at what the chimera do in Resistance 2.

Go LOOK.

They stand in the open until they die.

OR, they run straight at you.

Gears AI take cover and somtimes in the right area they flank your position.

Pretty good AI if you ask anyone who knows anything about gaming.
