I remember a few of them. They continued to bash the PS3 game as well because of the developers less than stellar track record. Which presents 2 points:

1, people will bash a game if it's on another platform regardless of which it is.

2, people will bash a game if the developer has been known for mediocre at best titles in the past, even if they might have gotten better.

I only saw one exclusive (nuts and bolts), is that right? I am not sure about Star Ocean 4 I heard it is timed right? Anyway it doesn't appear as though MS is interested in competing with Sony at this show, which they shouldn't considering Japan is a lost cause.

at last sony's working on bringing jrpg's to the ps3! now we have the promising White Knight Chronicles that looks super awesome and like the first real next gen jrpg, FFXIII, FFXIII versus, Disgaea, The Last Remnant and now this one. ;-)

3.1 - they do need more exlusives

they need to take a leaf out of sonys book on this one and build more in-house teams and on an international basis at that (in house teams in europe,japan and the US). They also need to stop letting 360 games like bio shock, mass effect and gears go to the pc.It dents the 360`s appeal to more tech savvy consumers, i think. and they need to get rare to start making some proper games again!

I agree but rare is just one studio, I mean Sony has Insomonic and Media Molocule to push out casual stuff. They need to have at least one studio pushing casual games out. I think MS needs to add a couple of studios, because I just don't see that Gears or Halo big game coming next fall to compete with God of War 3. I think they are about even this fall but next year I would not be surprised if they don't have much of a lineup, unless they push back Halo Wars which still isn't that exciting.

People spend money on A-AAA exclusives not just any exclusive. So stop trying to make things seem so simple. I mean if you look at Sony AAA verse average record on exclusives, I can't really see why you zombies are milking this exclusive cow.

Do you not have better ammo than that?

Edit: Additionally people can only buy so many games, if there are 10 top multiplats out there and 10 top exclusives for the PS3. Someone is gonna loose money. And being the you loyal Sony drones will support Sony at all cost, that means the 3rd parties are going to loose. Perhaps this is why multiplats seem to have more put into them on the 360 than on the PS3.

Perhaps Sony's desire to release so many exclusives have hurt them when it comes to 3rd party quality. Not to mention, sony also seem to balloon up their sales numbers for their titles by bundling them. Can anyone name one PS3 A-AAA title that hasn't been bundled in all the major markets?

The PS3 has more 'Upcoming' Exclusives. But, the whole debate of which you guys are talking about has to deal with a new consumer. So, with that being said, the 360 has a larger amount of exclusives, right now. It's a good chance that a new consumer is going to be buying some exclusive games that came out in the past, not just the future.

So, right now, as it stands, the 360 still has the larger amount of exclusives.
The PS3 just has a larger 'Upcoming' exclusive list.

8 - XBOX 360 is loaded

just about every 3rd party game is coming to XBOX 360.

People keep saying most of XBOX 360's games are also on PS3. Yeah well most of PS3's games are also on XBOX 360.

But PS3 costs more, so this hurts PS3. So many of the games are multi this gen, that's why I feel price is such a big factor.

I'm so disappointed in PS3, I figured they would come out firing this year and start winning back some market share since they have pretty good games. I mean they trail 360 in North America already about 3 to 1.

But instead it's 360 that has recieved like 2 price cuts already this year, making sure they win again. And extend their lead to 4 to 1 or more.

And Sony has done nothing. If they stay retarded like this, they will be out of it very soon.

In 2007 their problem was games, they didn't have games. They would do anything to have games. Now they have games, but they are totally priced out again.

So it does them no good. They are still in the same sunken ship.

If nothing changes, it will be another holiday where XBOX 360 outsells PS3 about 2-1, if not more.

I'm just hoping that the NPD wakes Sony up.

How can the PS3 be out if it is 2M ahead of 360 in Japan after 360 got so many JRPG?

Anyone with a brain knows it is the other way round, WKC in December and the advent children bundle in March is when 360 can finally rest in peace in Japan.

Once those 2 games release I think even MS will admit Japan is a lost cause and just give up unless that really want a million sales in Japan.

I don't think Microsoft can touch final fantasy 7.

Sony helped make FF7 what it is and that goes without saying they have some pull on the name Final Fantasy VII, whether they own stake in the company still, after merging with Enix or they had some agreement solidifying that if the need arises, they will seek out the FF7 remake cashcow.

SquareEnix would be complete idiots to ignore FF7 remake, no matter what platform.

Lighting .. this is why you would make a horrible decision maker. Just relax. Sony would cut prices if they could. The demand for PS3 has not substantially lowered since the 360 price cuts. You are getting alot of value in a $399.99 PS3. You just can't compare the two systems (arcade versus 80GB). Sony CAN NOT be reactive to the MS price wars. Sony must dictate if they expect to win this generation and expect to be profitable. You CAN NOT price yourself out of the picture ... meaning price so low that it sparks incredible demand. Demand so high that you can't meet because of production costs.

Don't be ignorant. The best lineup this year is the third party multi platform lineup, and because of 360's better pricepoint it takes the advantage from those.

The PS3 also does not have more exclusives, they have about the same, you just have to look at a list that includes them.

The list is good but it lacks Final Fantasy XIII. If this game is announced for release in Japan for the 360, this will be a HUGE blow to Sony. I understand the Level 5 factor for Sony ... but lets be real. Level 5 is now Square Enix. The only real consolation to Japanese PS3 owners is if Square Enix also announces the much wanted Final Fantasy VII remake exclusive to the PS3. Then again ... saying exclusive and Square Enix these days sounds weird!
