Only 12 tracks? Can`t be right! But it appears there are variations of these also if you dig a little deeper.

2 - Forza 2 in May, 2007
Awesome!
The game will have 300 cars, 12 tracks, and 6 multiplayer modes!
Seems like a good racing game so far, except, 12 tracks your kidding me!!!
In comparison GT4 had 100 tracks, and 600 cars...

disappointing amount of tracks but it does say on the forza site
"All told, there are 47 different ribbons in the game across the 12 environments".
so nearly each track has 4 different routes + downloadable tracks and cars (hopefully some are free).
I must admit that i cant wait to be online with this game. Drag racing online in forza was so cool.

6.1 - more fanboy love...
It's 47 tracks across 12 environments. Go to the Forza 2 website if your fanboy brain doesn't believe me.
If had a dollar for every time a fanboy sticks his foot in his mouth, I'd never have to pay for another video game for the rest of my life.

10 - C'mon Guys!
12 Tracks cannot be right and it isn't. It's like in PGR3 where they have only 5 or 6 cities, but each environment has tons of tracks. I imagine they mean the same thing, 12 environments with many variations/routes to customize. Then add the downloadable content and you've got yourself plenty.

Forza 1 was a cool game. THe replay mode was great. You could analyze the way you raced, look at acceleration patterns, braking patterns, and tire wear down in specific spots. I just thought that was a coodl feature.

14 - STUPID PS3 FANS!!!!
I wish all the PS3 fans would shut the f_ck up about there blu-ray player. Which it is all they have to play is blu-ray movies not GAMES. Yeah us XBOX fans would love to have all that extra space.LOL So we can wait until 2010 to have a few games to play. Why dont all yall Sony fans go out and talk to Sony and see if yall can help try to sell some PS3 or should I say blu-ray players because they need all the help they can get. Yall are just mad because we already have a 100+ games to play while yall are waiting on your 60 gb blu-ray disc to fill up. Forza will be one of the best racing games out this year. We are even helping Sony out. Once this game comes out Sony can use pics of Forza to try and sell there boring a_s GT5. If they use screens of both Forza and PGR. They really should not have any problem selling GT.ROTFL

ONE MORE TIME FOR THOSE THAT DON'T READ
12 ENVIRONMENTS
47 TRACKS IN TOTAL
And now beat it if you're a Sony fanboy with selective reading. Or must I say just blind
This will be mine. With the MS force feedback wheel.
Yeah Fony fanboys, eat that. Force Feedback. PS3 racing games won't have rumble in the controller, nor feedback in a wheel.
That's hilarious but freakin' lame at the same time. I'll be tearing up the track real soon. Like I'm tearing up some Locust with my chainsaw tonight

and saw that there are indeed only 12 tracks (enviroments), but each track includes The full Grand Prix course, the West course, and the East course with the famous esses.
So its more like 47 tracks.
They should've just said it includes 47 tracks so PS3 fanboys wouldn't come and bash this game. ;)

19 - I am disappointed
not only that this game is delayed until May. I guess if that's what it takes to make this game the best possible, but damn wasn't this game suppose to be out last November. Then they leave off my favorite track from the orginal, Road America. Though 47 tracks on 12 environments are an awful lot to completely memorize as compete online they have to all be committed to memory. Two Worlds delayed and now Forza, hopefully Crackdown will have been done well enough to hold both March and April. Just make it perfect with the extra time.

GO READ AGAIN if you can kid, 47 tracks, 12 environments. Now beat it
Furthermore, GT? THat game that calls itself a simulation, but if you hit the wall with 250 km/ph there is no scratch on the car and you can just drive on?
That game? hahaha Don't make me laugh.
Forza 1 made it at least to the same level and reading the reviews from back then surpassed GT which was in it's 4th edition already.
Think about that. In one edition Forza, the were at the same level, if not above GT the 4th edition.
Now imagion where Forza 2 will be... It'll take up to GT8 before you'll finally reach that level of the game in graphics, gameplay etc.!
And one thing for sure: you'll never get a driving wheel with force feedback because Sony forgot to pay the bill :-)

"Forza Motorsport 2 burns rubber at 60 fps with 2x full-screen anti-aliasing"
2x Anti-aliasing? Wait, wasn't the Microsoft requirement for all 360 titles 4xAA? Oh yeah, forgot. Xenos's ED-RAM isn't big enough for 720p frames when you use anything above 2xAA.
It's kind of sad that there's only 12 tracks, despite multiple variations of each track. According to Microsoft, the Forza and Project Gotham teams are sharing assets and working with each other a lot so this game should turn out fine.
Doesn't look like it can compete with Gran Turismo in terms of number of tracks and cars, but I want to see how accurate their damage system is since that's their advantage over the GT series at the moment.

I'm not big on racing games, I played Forza 1 and GT3 and they both seemed just OK to me but I think I'm starting to get into driving games -Motorstorm looks good but I'm not buying a PS3 yet so I most likely I won't pick it up since there should be better racers whenever I finally get a PS3, on the other hand Forza 2 looks amazing, yes its debatable if Forza is better than GT (what type of racer you like) but since GT5 or whatever won't even be out 'til sometime 2008, I think chances are it will be the best racer of 2007 and of course I own a 360 and I have a buddy who swears Forza is the "real deal" -(his words, not mine) he's already claiming victory over me -(actually I can't repeat the way he put it) which is likely to be true since I suck at racers, although given a little time, I'm a very fast learner, so I think I'll pick it up just to see what all the fuss is about and most importantly the opportunity to shut his "big" mouth once I OWN HIM a few times.
BTW, its funny watching Sonyfanboys come up with their own version of the FACTS, despite whats written in plain English.
"Forza Motorsport 2 features over 45 tracks carved out of 12 environments, including several real-world licensed circuits such as Silverstone, Tsukuba, and Laguna Seca."
-I guess the "over 45 tracks" part is just too damm confusing.....some people need everything spelled out for them, you know like 2+2=4, huh, whats that? [over hears Sonyfanboy arguing that 2+2=7, because....?] -((Sonyfanboy logic))
