@1.1, I have a feeling LBP will bomb in Japan but be very popular in Europe and in North America. From what I have read, the Japanese aren't very interested in social online gaming (not the only factor but sharing is a big part of LBP).

MS and the 360 are doing all they can over there. They deserve sales for their efforts.

I see them, honestly, outselling the Ps3 for the next 3 weeks, easily. I think it will die down about 2 weeks before November and will probably sit at about 4 to 5000 units a week until the big Square RPG hits in November and they will once again over take Sony. Sony better do something drastic to change this tide. It's a swift stream up ahead and there are a couple undertows ready to take Sony under.

will walk by that bundle and give a "meh". That Bundle cries out for you to stop grab the box and check out the contents, and head for the check out lines. $330 for all that is cheap!

Sony better:

a. Get White Knight Story out.
b. Bundle that bad boy.

half of those games that they are presenting over there at TGS better be RPGs, or else they're F***ed.

Funny how last Gen Microsoft was the FPS console and now Sony has taken that title. Also MS had not much JRPG love, but now they are pwning Sony backside in that area.

It's nice to see dedication to provide a good product at a great price.
They're basically slowly defeating that resistance anyone has for the 360. Price cuts, cool bundles (with distinct targets) and superb, updated online service. What I am especially loving about this is that the customer is actually getting more than his money's worth. The customer is definitely not wasting money for this product.
Good thing MS doesn't take your money and sh*t on your face by not tending to your gaming needs. Kudos

11 - How many
I hope they have plenty of these, my guess is that they could shift 40k of the bundles alone. They only Had 12k for TV and that was no where near enough.

W.K.C will do well but i dont think eternal Sonata will be no where near as popular, the game is too old now to have any major impact

YOu know a bundle is alright, but its a shame that they do not add designs to the system like they did with the Halo edition of the 360 came out.

It's also for the Japanese fanbase leading into the next gen, they want to show that they also understand what they want and are willing to give it to them. Sony needs to do the same this gen, and we'll see some great Japanese support on all three consoles. Which I don't think has ever happened in consoles, to have such strong Japanese support.

i also noticed that the TGS show square is dedicating a portion of their show to showcase the square enix/360 projects

with the delay of last remnant, lack of multi releases for other titles..

its fair to say square has abandoned sony. fortunately for sony while microsoft was wooing square enix, sony was working on new rpgs with other developers and publishers.

microsoft made a bold and smart move trying to get square to lay in bed together..

hard call to make, do we get disappointed that sony didnt fight for square's affection?

or do we get excited that sony spent more time getting new ip's (white knight story, demon souls)?

i think the problem lies with Square.. it seems based on their past they can only commit to one company/console. Even EA with their blunders manages to make an attempt at multi releases.

i wouldnt be surprised if after ffxiii and versus square leaves sony completely..

oh well.

16.1 - SE dropping Sony sucks :(
I got a ps3 for RPGs and the like well over a year ago and there has been next to none coming out while 360 has tons. I really like RPG games the best and it seems to me "right now" is the best time to be a 360 owner. It's really good xbox is doing so well but now I am thinking that getting rid of my 360 was a huge mistake which I am regretting as of late.

Here's to hoping a ton of good RPGs come to the PS3 and not a moment too soon.

17 - I'll tell you this, if at TGS Sony becomes much more comfortable with MS
then I do not know, it seems to me everyone puts their hopes on Square because we all know the games they make will automatically sell besides other devs in Japan.

Square, I feel like is testing Ms and their console in that region.
With RROD aside and Size issues.

I still ask, Is there any major reasons why one would not buy an xbox 360(cheaper) or a developer(ease of development) not develop for it if Square, the biggest and most important developer in japan is showering the 360 with attention?

Square says Turn Based Battle is out and every one Follows...(Grrr)Now Devs will be looking at Square-Enix for success and if all goes well with the numbers and (360 sales surge/outlook), other devs I think will follow. With the rising cost of development in Japan, should be interesting to see what is announced for future games.

This bundle will do well.
