Molyneux Says Online Co-op Will Make It On Launch

GameFocus: "Our french gaming site (Game-Focus.com), present at the Festival du Jeu Vidéo (Video Game Festival) in Paris has told us that the Fable II online co-op mode, expected to be delayed after the game's launch, will be available on launch date despite the early reports from last week."

For the record, LittleBigPlanet WILL have co-op at launch. You can play any levels in the game with other people and any of the user-created levels. The only thing you can't do is create levels with other users ONLINE on launch. It's a feature that will be implimented after, but it's not that big of a deal for most people. This article has to do with Fable 2... NOT LittleBigPlanet.

Anyway, it's good to hear that it should be there on launch for all those looking forward to Fable 2. I won't be picking up the game right away (probably a little ways into the future) so it doesn't effect me, but I'm happy for all those who have anticipated this feature and this game. It's good news for gamers.

gameinformer says there will be online co-op but it will be limited to what was expected till later that week.

and in this article, even the author questions who to believe, MS or Moly~. Of course, it's more likely to believe developers, but theres a good chance that Moly~ was talking about the limited online co-op and not the whole shebang. Not yet at least.

I truely can wait for the other half... co-op don't make or break games anymore. People act as if it's the end of the world if more and more usless features are piled into games (larger than needed multiplayer, co-op, bioshock is one game for instance that didn't need online to be an amazing game even though people b!tched and moaned about it, web browsers, etc..). Everyone wants more more more. People want more gaming features like they want more food. No wonder most of this country is fat and greedy. What happened with being satisfyed with the simplest of things?

coop is a big selling feature for this game, i would be surprised if peter (after announcing that the game has coop, and that the game is finished) would release the game without coop. His reputation is in rough shape as it is with all his empty promises from fable 1.. even though fable 1 was a good game.. for him to do the same with fable 2 would really cripple his career.

then again coop within the first week after release really isn't so bad anyway..
