people complained about gta 4 not having enough traffic/peds on screen

game looks weak, jerky, the city barely has any elevation changes

this looks like saints row 1.2
not even good enough for a 1.5 version

they even copped the gta4 meters around the map kind of thing

this is beginning to look like more of a spoof of gta than a real respectable game

But this game is looking sorta lame. It doesn't seem like they improved the game much for the original saint's row.

But I'll give it some slack, looks can be deceiving and the game isn't actually out for anyone to play it yet. So I can't judge it yet. But right now, at first glance, this game doesn't look too promising

What upsets me is the fact that this game won't make Rockstar tremble in their boots and know there's fierce competition stealing precious customers from them. Rockstar won't feel the need to drastically improve GTA to show that they are still on top. We'll get minor improvements since they know nothing can touch their quality of games.

Take Madden for example: How many years in a row did it look like the new version consisted of a roster update with a few gameplay improvements sprinkled in the game? (2009 might be the exception (not sure, don't own it)).

Bottom line: GTA needs stiff competition. Even though the premise behind GTA is old, I feel there's still a lot of improvements to be made to get a GTA-like game into the "next gen" era (imagine San Andreas' variety with GTA4's graphics). Sadly, Saints Row 2 doesn't appear to be providing us with that experience.

Wont be buying this for sure i wouldnt even play it if it was a free copy. Doesent even look next gen and the city its played in just looks empty and dull looking. How they reckon this will beat GTA4 well they must off been on drugs when they sed it. Looks like a poor mans GTA tbh and it wont see my games collection.

Joey Grecko kicks ass by the way and I loved the cheaters episode when he got stabbed, hope you fully recovered Joe !! Saints Row 2 looks like a freaking joke compared to how realistic GTA4 is and the bottom line is that GTA4 is a classic that no open world game will ever compare to unless Rockstar makes it.

The guy ran over everything and the car did not take any noticeable damage.??? The cop were chasing the guy and they disappeared after he ran half of a half of a block on a straight away. GTA3,Vice City,San Andreas and even GTA4 the cops would chase you until they caught you or you died. The city folks/Gang members would also do the same if you bothered them on most occasion. This game is back on the rental shelf after this video...

i looked at the video again and every time he turns his back;everybody disappears.. lmao The game does have that ps1 or Ps2 look to it.. i think games like GTA or SR should be build on the ps3 because of the blue ray factor.. these games or getting condense to fit on the 360 and it really hurting both the PS3/us the consumer.. Dan Houser was right and THQ will learn the same thing with this game. i am not blaming the 360 but it DVD rom disc or not helping out games of this size... or RAGE to come in 2009

Game play looked decent, not graphically better then GTA4, but not so bad I wont give it a chance, IMO- GTA4 was lacking in features, it was fun but outside of the main missions there wasn't really much of anything to do (that was enjoyable enough to due it more then once) if there would have been a turn pedestrians into zombies cheat nothing would have ever beaten it. lol (not that I'm saying this will but I'll hold judgment until I play)

The graphics don't look great, but not bad. But, I loved the first Saints Row, so I'll be picking this up.

Does anyone know the release date? Cause the game looks far from finished.. So, if it is far from release then hopefully they will fix a lot of the stuff.

Does anyone know which version that is? It's not the 360 version. At 4:12 it says press L1..

like i've been saying for months, Saints Row has NO CLASS compared to GTAIV. it's just.. i dunno, very tasteless.

and doesnt look good at all. what made GTAIV great for me was the atmosphere, how much work they put into making the environment believable... it was amazing. in my opinion.

Don't think i will be picking this one up. I was a big fan of the storyline and the real life issues that rockstar approached in GTA iv. Saints Row has gone in the other direction, by all means i am sure it will be a good game for what it is, and i hope it is a good game, but i don't think i could bring myself to play it, after the goliath of GTA iv.
