I'd guess that both MS and Sony want to make sure their respective games hit the scheduled release date, 21. October.

However much the fanboys want to argue about which one is best, both titles are huge, and will more or less keep each other at bay. Either getting delayed is ample reason for many to buy a console for the other I'd imagine.

Had you properly read my post, you would have seen that I wasn't comparing games quality wise, but rather significance wise. Both games are highly anticipated, and had either been released without competition, they would have shifted significantly more consoles.

Whichever will be "best" is atm based mostly on speculation and hype, and is more importantly purely subjective. Personally I hope both games live up to their hype, and more, promoting innovation in gaming, rather than a sales win for "insert favourite company here".

Fanboyism really can make one blind...

C'mon psyckmark--, the great thing is that games like Resistance-2, Gears-2, Fable-2, Killzone-2 etc. are always gonna be there whatsoever,

...the radically different thing about LBP is that it enables average player to absolutely creat any sort of platforming game they like, the themes are infinite, it can be a Prince of Persia game to a Mario Game... with any type of art-style sice there are so many ways to get all types of textures... and it has fully robust physics engine intact... does it stop there? No, you can share your entire game to anybody in the world, and they can improve it even more...

Also that it supports co-op play and even co-op level creation, isn't it insane !!! you should've been smart enough to know that already from all the recent news and stuff.

Your question is like "Man, When Amazon.com Was Such A Great Site, Why Did They Need To Make Youtube.com???"...
