Fanboys don't get mad, but I think MS might have a trick up their sleeve! MS has been trying to get alot of RPG's on the 360 in japan mainly to boost sales. This may also be part of their plan to try to get SE to release FFXIII on the 360 in japan as well!

The way it looks, Xbox 360 units go up every time a Jrpg is released. The majority of these games aren't well known, but are selling thousands and are moving a few consoles as well!

If console sales reach 1 million by the end of the year, MS may approach SE with a corny line like..."If you build it... they will come!" and tell SE that people will buy it for 360 because the console is cheaper.

This is just something that could possibly happen. No need to get pissed off. MS is sneaky and I wouldn't put it past them to try something like this.

and maybe some new JRPGs from Mistwalker. These games definitely SHOULD boost some sales.)

But that won`t change the tide. Next year it will be 3rd ps3 year, ps3 will be MUCH stronger competitor, then it is Today.

If they have some other games that the japanese are interested in, it might reach 1 million by years end.

We only know about the games that are released everywhere, and the 360 gets some different games than some of the games we get in other places.

maybe your friends have ps3, but my son that is 11 loves his 360 and so do all the other kiddies in school that play with him online...out of all his friends, only one has a ps3 and he finally got a 360 after bigging his parents from the past year. And all the kiddies are ps2 owners.

and at my job, i'm a law enforcement officer, many of my co-workers get together for COD4 on the 360... it's actually getting to the point where even buddies that never played video games before want a 360 and get a 360 to join the fun.

I agree the ps3 is a great value and name recognition goes a long way... but in the end its just too expensive for the mass market. Why do you think the majority of ps3 owners are adults... they are the only ones that can afford to buy expensive toys.

if your theory proves right (which i doubt it will... in the way you want it anyway)

... then Sony will have no choice but to cut the price so the 'kiddies' can join the fun, they won't let MS hog the casual market if your proven right- and as the days go by, their position to cut the price gets better and better, while MS have already played all their price cards for this year and the next (unless they want to make it so cheap that everyone get's suspicious and realizes the lack of value and features that come with this ultra-cheap console)

also, what do you think 'kiddies' do for software sales?, diddly-squat that's what- the adult buyers buying PS3's buy lots of games

are you talking about one day or one week, because its a FACT the 360 has the highest attach rate per console out of the three.

and every multi-plat sells more worldwide on 360....

honestly, u should broaden ur horizons. the world is NOT america.
the ps3 launched in march 27, 2007 in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand. guess who outsold the 360 by 3 million units over there until this day.
the ps3 launched in 11 november 2006 in japan. guess who outsold the 360 by almost 2 million units over there until this day.

honestly, is it THAT hard to see??? the 360 is only outselling the ps3 in AMERICA. get over it! afaik the holiday season is the same all around the world. don't even bring the lame argument about how microsoft dropped the price on the 360, the ps3 is still hella expensive and ppl outside of america are still buying it despite that.

oh and don't forget the npd results for america in 2008, where august was the only month so far that 360 outsold the ps3...
honestly, none of u are industry experts. there's still 3 months left to the end of the year. there's lots of stuff coming out for both consoles, so who's gonna win is still unknown.

If you like RPGs you should wait for Fable 2, White Knight Stories and ToV (if you live in Europe, or import it). White Knight Stories looks really promissing, but my favorite RPG of all time (Fable) is releasing a sequel!!!
That's all I'm buying this year, plus an Elite (need to buy some text books lol)
