Seeing as how this game is based off the same engine behind Half Life 2 I would not expect the game to require much to play it. Also - the screens don't look very good either. The game itself (by today's PC standards) looks archaic.

Judging from the graphics, I wouldn't expect the requirements to be very "expensive".

Wow, someone was actually expecting this game to be hardware demanding? Have you guys been on coma? Anyone that updated like in the last 3 or maybe more years will run this game just fine and thats pretty obvious judging by how crappy it looks... Really, for a PC game it's unacceptable... Oh, forget, it's Valve and theit old dinossaur engine. ¬¬'

pretty much already been expected! it's a game using that old source engine! how many years had it been already? but whatever, looking to the bright side, more people will got the chance to enjoy the game the way it should be, yeah...without the need to sell kidney or pets! that's good for business, right? and I also seriously thinking that not every game should be a PC/pocket killer like Crysis just so people can play it!

of course they have realistic system requirements. Why do you think they do the steam hardware survey? They check what most gamers use and cater to their needs.

They know it's stupid to have games like Crysis where people don't buy your game simply because it doesn't run on your computer. Valve is the best thing to ever happen to PC gaming.

10 - i love the source engine.
games like tf2 look absolutely amazing, and hl2:ep2 look better then most new games coming out today, and it runs better.

People who bash the source engine never played ep2 on full in high AA with hdr. The game looks stunning.
