All I'm asking for is to dump the net code that causes bullet-lag in favor of a more conventional and stable one, like Resistance and Warhawk's.

If it's using the same system GeOW1 used I simply won't buy it, the first one had so much more potential but if you're playing from overseas you're pretty much *****ed.

I expect 8.5/10 for Gears of War 2 from most reviewers. 9 at the highest, 8 at the lowest. Nothing higher than 9.5, judging by this preview. They've slightly improved the graphics and made the maps bigger but that's about it.

Gears 2 is considered more of Gears with little change-I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Gears 2 will be a good game and will sell millions but if it was a PS3 game, people will say it's not innovative enough, what does do to change the genre.

Look at Killzone 2 for example. People said no way it could match the target trailer, but it did and then they said it's too dark and doesn't have enough color but those same people didn't have that problem with Gears. Then they said the AI was horrible and it turned that the AI was pretty smart and it was dumbed down for the sake of demonstration and now they said it's just a generic FPS with nothing new to offer even though it was very well implemented 1st person cover system and the whole badge thing seemed very interesting and refreshing. Now look at Gears 2, it didn't do much to push the genre or do anything groundbreaking that the original didn't but it's being hailed as the second coming.

Don't get me wrong because I know Gears 2 is a good game but if it was a PS3 exclusive, it would be heavily criticized for not being innovative of having a maximum of 10-players in multiplayer or 2 co-op. Everyone here knows that the media is biased in favor of the Xbox 360 (Oblivion 360 gamespot score-96, Ps3 score-95, even though they claim the Ps3 had the better version)!!!

Here's another example of hypocrisy: people dismissed LBP of being a childish game only to purchase Viva Pinata or Banjo Kazooie.

Has KZ2 been released already? I mean how do we know what the final product will be or even look like? Sure the game looks sexy now but I don't think it's fair to give it to much credit until the final version is out given the developers track record. Oh and who dismissed LBP as a childish game only to buy viva or Banjo? I know I didn't and honestly I don't think any 360 gamer has said to much about that game or cares about it and it's hype anyway. You can claim the media is biased towards 360 but in all honesty you don't know that for sure and sound like your angry and envious over the past. You believe it looks like the e3 target render? Than you obviously still have on your dream goggles on because it's not even close. There's one reason why 360 threads are getting invaded by fanboys. Its called karma. Since its inception ps3 owners have had to put up with all kinds of nonsense. Its no different at my job. There is about 4 ps3 owners, including myself and the rest have 360's. Even when I'm talking with the individuals who have ps3's, 360 owners even if your not talking to them always have to come out of nowhere with there two cents. So you could say it's lopsided, I've seen different. By the way IMO, Uncharted is the best game of this generation. Best graphics, competetive gameplay and stoy. But you would hve to play it to know.

Longest cut scene was around 60 minutes.Ahh..what a great ending to an amazing game.

Speaking of movie games..I was playing Mass effect on my
360/toaster/hot plate/dvd player and man,lemme tell you one thing.That game has some long boring mother f*cking cut scenes.And the animations are terrible.Nothing like the great MGS4.

And those frame rates..ahh..those frame rates.Mass effect is 360's best looking game.And it sucks.

I'll play my PS3 and watch my 60 minute cut-scene on a REAL next gen console.

When you're playing a game, you should be playing the game, not watching it. And at least with Mass Effect, you get to affect the conversation, you're not sitting passively.

And what game are you playing? Mass Effect runs perfectly on my Xbox. Maybe if you stopped putting bread in your 360 you wouldn't have any problems.

I would also not want MGS 4 on the 360, because it would be a crappy port. Obviously the PS3 couldn't handle The Orange Box, otherwise it's port would have been as good as the Xbox 360 version of the game.

You do know that you can interact with the characters on MGS4 during the cut scenes right? you can also change the camera angles or control a little robot and explore the area while their talking right? I find that more entertaining then sitting there looking at some of the most bland dull,robotic AI i have ever seen.No personality in those characters at all.Mass effect sucks.

Who are they to decide whats AAA on a different console? I realize that Orange Box was a bad comparison. But umm... so was comparing the Xbox 360 to a toaster. I was merely pointing out that if MGS 4 were ported over to the Xbox, it would be a crappy port, due to the porting team not really giving a crap, and just wanting a quick buck. As for Oblivion, I had forgotten about how it was ported, and I most certainly didn't realize it was better... even though its meta score is one point higher on the Xbox 360... but I'll say that it's just because it was a port of a game that had been out for a year. One. Whole. Year.

And in the case of Metal Gear Solids "interactive" cutscenes. Do you get to affect the way the story turns out? And I still don't get why you have such terrible framerate in Mass Effect, the only thing I can think of is that you either stuck your Xbox in a microwave, or have been petting it with a hammer.

A system isn't defined by its exclusives, it's defined by all of its games. I don't care that Dead Space is coming out on PS3, 360, and PC. All consoles get recognition for having that AAA game.

But, I'm also happy with the games that we get that PS3 gamers don't.

As it stands, I'm happy with the three games I plan on getting for this year (Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, GTA DLC and maybe Banjo Kazooie), and I don't need a PS3 to play them.

In a perfect world, many people would own all three if they could. Many people can't afford it right now. Many people in America can't... and since everyone can only afford one, the companies are grinning at us going at each other because of that fact. To be honest, until Home comes out, XBL will blow the PSN out of the water; as a matter of fact, after Home comes out, that may still not change. Fact.

Also, Sony really needs to quit hyping it's games: The Bible says "humble yourself and you will be exalted"... you'd think Sony would remember that after the first PS3 year when everyone was laughing at them. Granted, Killzone looks like it might live up to the hype, but they had to hire a jillon programmers and spend more than making a movie to do it; Gears2 and Resistance 2 Didn't have to hire anyone extra (that we know of) to make their games. To be honest, Microsoft needs to just recall the 360 and issue everyone a new 360. Having all of the JRPG's in Japan won't make the Techno-savvy Japanese want to buy a console with a high failure rate... as you see, it's still not working. Fact.

Also, Microsoft needs to get over themselves and get a Blu-Ray instead of having companies like Id threaten to put out a crappy version of a game so they can fit it on enough DVD's to make it profitable. Also fact.

To be honest, I like the Wii, but all of the motion-controlled games feel like novelty games, except the sword games; but they can't all be sword games, can they? Fact.

The Wii is a great console that scooped the other two consoles... but you have to weigh what the Wii can do versus what progress can do in terms of games; if you still love XboX/PS2 graphics, then by all means, get one; if you like "purty pictures", don't... and it won't get you laid, either. People with ps3s will be playing Resistance 2, socom3, Killzone 2. These 3 exclusives will destroy all the exclusives the 360 has out in 2009 including Gears 2. I will be buying Gears 2, but it definately won't be destroying Resistance 2. You can't even compare the battles for Christ sake!!! Thats a joke, one has fast action, huge epic battels, while the other one is slower more stategic battles. One has to pick which on they like better. But to say that Gears 2 will destroy Resistance 2 is a joke. Hell gears 1 didn't even destroy Resistance 1 and it was a launch game. Can't wait to see what the new Resistance will bring!!!!
