Hines: Fallout 3's gameplay is like "organised chaos"

Peter Hines has described Fallout 3's open-world gameplay as "organised chaos," saying the player is free to do what he or she likes but can always be easily sucked back into the post apocalyptic RPG's main quest.

If it is like oblivion I just hope they spend more time on the main quest. Oblivion was a great game, but compared to all of the side quests, the great visuals and other gameplay, the main quest was pretty weak.

With guns. Im not too impressed with what I've seen with Fallout 3. The combat doesn't look that compelling, the characters seem cloned from oblivion *no facial expressions for a game in 2008 is weak* and if we have to judge by Oblivion's story telling then this won't be a narrative gem either. Im renting this one, at most.

and fallout 3 looks awesome - and t similarities with oblivion are obvious. check it out if u get a chance.

This could very well turn out to be my personal Game of the Year. Just the sheer amount of free exploration you can do, things you can see, choices you can make, and discoveries that you'll find on your own (and not be directed into seeing like GTA IV) all spells win for me. :D
