New Halo 3 Achievements

Images have surfaced today of new Halo 3 achievements. It is still unclear how these achievements will be added to Halo 3 but I would say it has something to do with the Mythic picture posted a few days ago. One thing is for sure though, soon bungie will have a lot of explaining to do.

they sat back and watched COD4 DOM-MIN-ATE for almost a 11 months and now they want me to come back and play this? Well I guess it could hold me over until gears and resistance.

Now that I'm done ranting, I will say I'm glad there is a reason for me not to sell this game...unless they charge me for it.

Then I'll just sit back and play castle crashers...which is surprisingly fun as hell.

No such word as "got" in a Halo 3 achievement. And what does "COD dominating" have anything to do with achievements. You can still go online and look up all your screenshots, videos, medals, heatmaps and all kinds of features. You can't even look at a COD4 leaderboard.

Does anyone know a release? And at solidsnakus: it might not be an expansion. It could just be DLC, but there are a lot of maps so I'm really not sure.

Halo 3 did come out on 9/25/2007. This will be on the same date.

Bungie loves numbers. They're all about messages and codes and dates. You know them. And here we are, a year later, ready to play our hearts out of this new expansion pack. I still play Halo 3 daily but it's been losing magic slightly. I don't see this reviving Halo 3 because it was never dead. It's going to strengthen it. Word!

See you all on Mythic when we get it.

Never did get my full 100 achievements points. I got around 980. Never could get the hard ones like ran over a dude with the mongoose or 2 for 1 with laser. BIG thanks to Microsoft to one of the greatest innovations in console history in achievements. Sure makes a lot of games just that much more fun.

MP as well... the ones that you might have got sneakily if no-one liked the map. Got kinda tired of people trying to farm those.

This is cool news. I know a few buds are still trying to co-op thru the story on Legendary cuz they never did. Maybe I'll join them if this rumor becomes reality. I wonder WHY. I wonder WHEN. And, I wonder HOW.

I have 880 in Halo 3. I tend to play social slayer, so I never really got many of the multiplayer ones. I can get 90 more achievement points by just completing the levels and getting the points needed and then finding all the terminals. That'll bring me up to 970 - and only the MP ones left.

I'm slowly getting back into Halo 3 after a long vacation from it. I know if they release an update it'll definitely get me back to playing it.

I'm in the same boat man. I swear, there are times when I don't have enough to play. I'm playing the same thing over and over. Then there's other times where I have so much I want to play, but I can't do it all. I'd put this on your number #1 "to-get-list".

8 - Bungie is Bringing it Home!
Oh Hell Yeah!

This new mode for Halo 3 called "Mythic" seems like an expansion pack as everyone else has been saying. There are so many damn achievements listed. I love it. And more skulls? Sick! Bungie said be patient and we were. This isn't anything about new projects but if THIS is getting me this stoked, then imagine what the big news is going to do to me. Or us Bungie fans I guess.

Halo 3 Version 1.2 on the way! And with the screenshot of one of the achievements, it'll be here before 9/25/2009.

I'll admit it. I'm a BUNGIE F@NBOY. But I'm proud of it.

10 - I remember reading...
About a year ago I remember reading in a statement from microsoft that a single game may update achievements, but that the game may not exceed over 1250 points. Not saying that they will change that, but I sure remember reading that.

do you really think microsoft cares about gamerscore maximums on their highest selling franchise?

but you're right-1250 has been the norm for DLC games.

but still-it's halo. if bungie wants to add 500-1000 more gamerscore...let them

i haven't played in a while, but i look forward to going back and playing to get these achievements. halo was my first 1000
