Best Buy offering eleven GH III tracks for ordering a crappy Metallica CD

Destructoid writes, "As part of some kind crazy limited supply promotion, Best Buy will be dishing out "exclusive bonus tracks" for Guitar Hero III for anyone willing to order Metallica's upcoming CD, Death Magnetic. It isn't clear as to what tracks can be downloaded via Best Buy's instructions, but one would assume that a few Metallica tracks would be included with the package."

One question for this guy. Have you heard their new stuff yet? Listen to My Apocolypse and listen to the old skool Metallica we know and love they are thrash again so accept that Metallica has a good album now. Sure its not like their first four, but its something that is thrash and headbanging worthy. Metallica doesnt have to write new music they have enough money to conquer the metal world which they have. They are doing this for the fans, because the music is heaveir trust me I know and have heard.

I've been a Metallica fan since Kill Em All, and honestly, the My Apocolypse track sucks.

It's incoherent, and unlike The Day That Never Comes, Lars uses the high strung snare drum again .. *barf*

No matter what, I'll be buying the new album as well :P

im a metallica fan (read my name) i love all their music (st anger not so much) i even got 3 floor tickets to the LA Forum to see them this december and i already saw them at the KROQ Weenie Roast y Fiesta this may. hear them live and its a whole different story. but on topic.... i wonder what tracks will be downloads.

It won't hit store shelves until the 11th of this month. Does he have "connections" within the music industry to obtain an advanced copy or something? I highly F'n doubt it.

I don't hate them but I can say that they aren't my taste. Punk is alright but for punk, I would go with Green Day.

And they weren't all that original they came into a genre already created: Pop Punk. Now a band like Nirvana would be said to be original.

That I fell for this from Best Buy and pre-ordered Disturbed's last album to get 3 free downloads for Rock Band. They were supposed to be for BEFORE the album dropped, and to this day I STILL HAVE NEVER RECIEVED THEM. So order at your own risk.
