I'm talking about like a direct feed video or something that isn't done with a video camera. You're right though, whoever recorded this was using an Dvd camcorder, and it's still a better quality video than the lo-res cam video of Fable 2 from the other day.

The graphics have been improved, gameplay has been expanded (new weapons, meatshield, etc), more fleshed-out story (or so we've been told). I can't speak for sound quality, but I don't think there was a whole lot of room for improvement from the first on that count, haha.

Well, if you look at the engine differences between Resistance 1 and Resistance 2, it's obvious to see that some developers actually improve noticeably between games.

It's not like Resistance 1 was that great graphically anyway, it wouldn't be hard to improve on it. And KZ2 covers it's flaws by making literally everything the same color shade. Ah, nevermind I'm not going to argue with two Sony fans in a 360 story, it's pointless anyway. Gears of War is still pne of the top 2 best looking games so far this generation.

looks okay.
graphics are super but i was part of the few that couldnt enjoy this no matter how times i played. it always felt so clunky to me. which makes sense since these dude are big and badass but the PC felt more natural and fluid, so thats what ill buy it for, PC.
and this is where you guys click disagree....

edit: i forgot to mention, the guy playing kinda sucks but i like how you can move when youve been downed now.

Does this mean you are planning a Windows version of "Gears of War 2"?

Cliff: Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around.

ITLL COME TO PC.
he cant really go out and say theres a PC version.
they sell a grip on 360, then add some new maps and chapters like last time, make it ten bucks cheaper on the PC, and release it a year later.

Dude relax not everyone here feels the same as you I'm a huge fan of Gears of War and I cant wait for it to come out but from what I seen it looks the same from the last one, bash me all you want but it s my opinion. As far as story and game play goes I'll be the judge of how great it is when i play it. I for one don't care what people say if you like it great if not no biggie.

I think I could have worded it better but my point was that its going to look pretty much the same as Gears 1 because it's Gears 2. Its obviously gonna have that Gears look about it. It may look the same but there are numerous positive improvements in graphics and gameplay.

I dont care if other people dont like gears. I like it, and my mates like it. Thats what matters.

Only thing that seems a bit bothersome is the number of times people end up on all fours when getting wounded. I mean is this going to happen most of the time? I've seen like 20 videos, and I'm seeing this happening wayyy too often. It's like shoot a guy, he falls on all fours and tries to crawl away, stomp, repeat, repeat, repeat.... It's like they view this as the new gameplay improvement, and use it over and over again. It looks old after a while.

Looking beautiful though. The weapons in this are sweet. Should be a killer game.

I know this is just online play but it doesnt look that much different from the first one. The first one had great character models but everyhting else about the graphics was just average. It had bland surroundings and there wasnt really much besides a few walls to hide behind.
And no Im not just hating for no reason I just never understood why this game got so much praise for its graphics. I guess I didnt find them as impressive because I didnt get to play the game until after it has been out for 1 yr. From what I have seen the single player does look a lot better and they fixed up the grphics in other areas besides characters. Im not that big on graphics anyways I just hope theres a lot more guns and melee attacks.

Not trying to sound rude, but have you even played Gears of War? To this day Gears is technically one of the best looking games that I have ever played. The Corpser in the underground level literally gaped my jaw. The warehouse level in the rain was stunning, the "Chinatown" looking level with the spotlight, do any of these ring a bell?

I've got a ps3, and the only exclusive game the ps3 has that's close to Gears is MGS4. And the best looking graphics that I have seen for either console is the 360 version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Look for yourself.

yes i have played the game. I just recently beat it again and the graphics dont look as great as all the screeshots will have you believe.
Theres plenty of games with better graphics such as, MGS4, COD4, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Assassins Creed, GT5P, Bioschock, Mass Effect, Crysis, UT3, ....
Im not saying Gears has crappy graphics, they are good, im just not impressed with them and theres many games with better graphics.

how people are getting along really great in this thread. It's such a rarity, Im actually happy I get to breathe it in for once. I honestly cannot wait to get this game. I also recently pre-ordered Fable 2 and Little Big Planet. These holidays are going to freaking rock!

P.S. = The neutrality of gamers in this thread really is needed on this whole site in general, if only more people owned muli-consoles... they'd get the FULL picture!
