Castle Crashers broken; Crashing XBL

I have had 3 online sessions. 2 went smoothly and the other slowed to a crawl and kicked me out. Either way, this game is bloody fantastic and heaps of fun.

I played the demo local with a buddy and all was well. While it is fun, it is VERY repetitive. That's to be expected but the leveling up didn't really seem to add anything useful and just brought more attention to it.

I had the same misgivings but with 3 other friends over live, it's really fun. The level ups actually give you new combos as well as skill points to add to strength, magic ect.

Can't deny I had a lot of fun with it. Over live with 3 friends would be stellar. Here's to hoping they fix whatever problem soon.

The game's art direction is fantastic too. Dan Paladin has a killer style.

I think the reporters xbox is about to die. The game is funny and well worth the money to get. I like the little touches like one of the guys giving cpr to a dead soldier.

with one buddy and it was fine... hoping they get the fix before I ever encounter a problem cuz we had an absolute blast ... hella fun game.

i've been playing all night on live with a friend of mine and we played for about 3 hours

the game lost connection twice during that period so it isn't really "broken" for me, haven't tried to get into any other games yet though

the game is incredibly awesome though, well worth the money i spent

When i first bought it i couldn't find a quick match at all, figured it was cause it just came out, connected once to this two player match but i was stuck in a lobby while they played. Haven't tried since.. enjoying the game though even if it's a repetitive button masher.

better games= MGO, Res 2, MAG, UT3 with mods, LBP, Killzone 2, Warhawk, WipeOut HD, The Agency and much more

all these provide or are going to provide excellent online experiences not found on XBL which only has Halo and Gears to show for itself in the online department (the latter of which is rather lacklustre)

better servers? of course, games on XBL generally have more lag and only on PSN are there games with 60 players in a single online match (Res 2) and even a whopping 256 players (MAG)

Ok, so on your list you have 3 games that are actually out. UT3 is on the 360 and how much milage you are getting from mods is negligable. Good luck finding a full game of UT3 on the PS3 even with them(same on 360 and PC). So you have 2 games and that is all for decent muliplayer.

Halo and Gears is all for MP? Well, considering both of those are played more than any game on PSN(and on a free service even) I don't see why you want to try and bash that? Gears 2 MP is so much more fun than something like R1, I will say that Warhawk is a lot of fun though.

Fun online: Crackdown (co-op), Chromehounds, LoTr:Battle for Middle Earth, Saints Row, Perfect Dark Zero are all excellent MP games to name a few that I enjoy and that are out now.

PSN uses dedicated servers for some games but not all similar to XBL. Also, a game like Frontlines Fuel of War on the 360 supports 50 players and there is no reason why the service could not support more. Since you are mentioning games not out yet Huxley should be 100 players and then MS is working behind the scenes on "donnybrook" (google microsoft donnybrook). However, just because a game sports a certain number of players doesn't automatically make the game fun or better.

I don't experience anymore lag on my connection than when I am playing on a friends PS3.

One huge plus for XBLA is that most of the games support some type of online play while many PSN titles don't.

There is a list of arcade titles and notice how many support multiplayer.

Then you have MS introducing the whole Games Network "channel" on XBL where you can play in games like 1 vs 100 against the community and win real prizes.

There are many "little" things XBL has over PSN for example. If I like a game I can recommend it to friends, cross game voice chat, universal match making system, achievements in all games, voicemail, universal feedback and preferred player system, etc.

On the dashboard when I click on an arcade title on the right hand side it shows me my friends list leaderboards as well as the Xbox leaderboards for that game, lists my most recent achievements for the game and I can recommend it to anyone on my friends list. The games are actually more "connected" and "integrated" into the dashboard than the XMB/PSN.

So let me say when I am playing on the 360 it feels very connected to my friends and the games. While on PSN it feels disconnected.

I will give Sony props though for how far they have come in a short time.

only 3 of those games are out i agree, but 3 more of them (Res 2, SOCOM and LBP) are out within the next 2 months CONFIRMED.... and you just know they're going to rock

so Frontlines has 50, that's certainly not proof that a game like MAG will be available for the 360 in the future- who knows if Microsoft can even provide a solid enough server structure to support such a demanding game

Huxley shows hope, but it's still only 100- a figure dwarfed by MAG

and i know that more doesn't automatically mean better, but come on- you can't argue with the scale of MAG, it sounds awesome

the examples of games other than Halo and Gears you provided was really weak- most of those games provide nothing new to the online gaming world and their feature set is pretty uninspiring compared to games like MGO where you have many cool techniques and skills at your disposal to play around with or The Agency where the level of immersion is very impressive

and come on- lord of the friggin rings? seriously? compared to the games i listed?

Gears 2 MP may be better than R1... but not R2... R2 is way too awesome for that

and you are right to give Sony props.... and in more time, they will unify the PSN

i personally give them major props for all the new features incoming that aren't available on the service that people pay for- Life with Playstation, Youtube upload support, screen-grabbing.. it's good stuff

For someone who defends MS to such a fanatical degree, you sure don't know much about how things work.

XBLA games go through a little process called Microsoft XBLA Certification, to make sure all bugs and kinks are worked out of a game before it is published on LIVE. Sony has the same process for games on the PSN. What is strange is how such a grievous problem caused by this particular piece of software managed to slip through the MS testing process.

Now take a minute to think about that one. I know it's hard to let a little common sense into your head, but please try.

BTW, none of those games you listed had actual technical flaws of this serious nature, therefore making your point invalid. Nice try, though.

im still curious why people are taking this story word for word

this game didn't crash anything on xbox live...live is fine, its the netcode of the game

it will drop you out of your game and lose saves sometimes...thats not live, and thats not xbox

i've been playing this game since it came out and it didn't crash my xbox or freeze it or any other crap once

i've lost connection to my game maybe 4 times, but even then the people i was playing with were on rather slow connections

people attacking live are fools, play the game and realize how dumb youa re

aside from some overblown connection problems this game is excellent

from what i've seen the people having troubles with this game are more often than not people playing on low speed connections and people with nonfriendly routers, but thats only from my own selection of friends

i've had rather good luck playing online myself, but thats just me and i'm only one out of thousands

but this game did not crash any portion of live and if you think it did youa re a fool, the service never went down nor did it stop working at any point

need proof, just ask the millions playing every other game issue free on live since this game came out

fools.
