I completely agree. That was so creative on the part of Midway. Big thumbs up from me. I hope they can keep that in the final game.

I don't know... It was creative and kinda humorous, but I still don't think it is brutal enough for the Mortal Kombat name. Where are all of the explodey head chunks? Remember when MK2 had explosions with more bones than were actually in the body, and like 4 skulls. That's funny! This is just a gunshot to the head. I can get that from 90% of all other videogames, just not from the Joker. The Joker is the only thing cool about this.

I get what you're saying but I think you're forgetting that MK VS DC isn't really Mortal Kombat 8. It's a spin-off that was aimed at most teenagers, not just mature audiences. I'll take MK VS DC for what it is and just wait for the REAL MK8.

I think people just focus too much on this "not enough blood, not enough gore" thing. In the end what really matters is if the game is fun to play. From the looks of it, it'll even be fun to watch.

In other words I'm excited. Not sold, but very excited. I'll be waiting for reviews.

Good point Bombibomb. The fatality is not really MK-ish but MK vs DC is not a real MK. If we can look at it as some spin-off with added geek bonus, I think it can a enjoyable enough until the real next-gen MK comes out.

I'll wait for the real MK. That was a cool fatality but not enough oomph that it needs to be in the top gory fatalities of MK. This is one of those fatalities that is awesome the first few times and completely boring after.

7 - Why are people still complaining about the finishers in this game
to me that finisher was really good and creative. Finishers in mortal kombat has not been good since mkII in my opinion. If anything they were more silly. Like lui kang dropping an arcade on someones head for example. Oh and lets not forget Armageddon's finishers where they just ran out of ideas and had the player try to make up its own combination lol Yet people keeping dissing this game that one finisher beat all the finisher in the last one lol

Joker's reaction to his own gag is what makes this one so funny to me. I think it really shows the looney side of the Joker that I think has really seemed to have disappeared over the years. You can see that he really gets a kick out of himself but still shows that he is a ruthless killer in the end.

Good job on that fatality Midway. Now I wonder if the other DC fatalities will be just as good.

Well, keep in mind that only the DC villains will get fatalities. The DC heroes get brutalities that don't kill the opponent.

I just don't get it. Even though it is the Joker I still see that trade mark stiff animation that Mortal Kombat is known for. Where is the variety. Do all the characters have to share the same leg sweep and punch animation?

I guess that is what makes Mortal Kombat...uhm Mortal Kombat?
I hope the fans get a great game in the end!

I hate MK and how it plays as it really isn't a really fighter, but as the biggest Joker and Superman fans, I can't help but be excited. And that was one of the best fatalities ever in the series.
