Current Tales of Vesperia DLC won't give you God-like characters

Siliconera.com writes "Kotaku sparked an interesting discussion when Level up packs appeared as Tales of Vesperia downloadable content. There are three packs online now: Level Up + 5 (1), Level Up + 5 (2), and Level Up + 10. However, you cannot repeatedly buy the Level Up + 10 Pack and skip grinding all together. Each of these packs and the 300,000 gold can only be purchased once. If you buy all of the level up packs the maximum paid level boost you can get is 20 levels for 700 Microsoft Points ($8.75)."

wow thats a sad idea for dlc
i mean more levels quest stuff is great but this is just taking away from the game imo. Buying levels sigh anyone worth their salt as a gamer will enjoy earning them the ol fashion way if the games remotly good.

4 - So gaming has gone from having cheat codes to
cheat DLC. Cheat codes aren't too big of a deal, they were always fun and more importantly, at the option of the player. Now stuff like this is for sale? Lame for the buyer AND seller if you ask me, but to each, their own.

Imagine if they made the game too hard so that players will be forced to buy level ups

That would be the worst BS ever.

It's not a bad idea really. There are alot of people who get to the final boss in a RPG and then can't beat it cause they tried to rush through the game. Most of them end up quitting at the final boss. With this DLC they can buy 20lvls which would be enough to help them beat the boss and then they can see the ending. I'm not saying it's a good thing but it's got it's place. I'm sure there will be people who take advantage of it. Mainly people who don't have alot of time to grind endless hrs just so they can beat the next area or boss.

Now they clear things up after the flames have risen to 50,000 degrees. I often wonder what the founders of these companies think, after the next generation of people take over and turn something good, something that represented quality, into money making cash cows, with no substance.

It's going to be interesting to see how DLC evolves and what kind of BS they will put out or keep out of games. Buying exp is for lazy people. We didn't need it before we don't need it now. I'd like to think so, but I don't speak for everyone.

We have all the time in the world and yet we don't have any, if you think the way I do, anyway. You can make time for anything you want to, even if it's to grind.

Not only that, but you rob yourself of a more hands-on experience with the games(RPGs)
Battles are just half the experience for me, and I would not touch this DLC with a 100 foot clown-pole.
