Wouldn't be the first time Valve sabotaged one of their games to work better for their preferred partners. And really, why would they support the PS3? when i played this game on my buddys 360 i couldnt beleive the limited amount of maps and game modes...Each map played a certain game mode if i remember correctly

and

there was only 5 maps and the maps where not that great....kinda like Half Life where every level was just a bunch of hallways that looked like turd!

I understood why ppl where digging the game. It was fun in its own right and i did like the look of it but its not a game i would see myself playing for very long! It did use some cool idea's

That's *not* the point. Isn't this game multi-console? If Valve wanted to work with the 360 and the PC, they should have just released their games on that instead of giving PS3 owners the runaround. Porting to the Xbox 360 is EASY from a PC game. Porting to the PS3 is not. That's why they had EA do it. Why would they support a port that failed and had little sales? Why would they waste time developing for a platform that will have little to no sales? The orange box sold just a couple hundred thousand copies for the PS3 and over a million for the 360.

I agree with cheeseknight. TF2 is an awesome game and doesn't deserve to be played on consoles. Hundreds of custom maps, modes, and new updates for free... not to mention fpses were designed for pcs... you just can't beat that

And stickguy, please stop showing how ignorant you are about computers. Right now with the video card market, a 50-60 bucks video card can run TF2 on freaking high. (the 8800gt was on sale for 55$ last week!). -unless u actually so poor, u don't even have a computer to start with

agreed. i'm a PS360 owner too, and opted for Orange Box on the 360 mainly because the previews had already deemed that version to be best. i traded it in after a few weeks of play. i just found Half Life 2 be be overrated; not bad, but overrated. it took about two weeks for me to try Portal, which imo is the best game Valve has made to date. but a two-to-three hour puzzler wasn't enough for me to keep the game. never tried TF, nor really had the desire to.

in any event this is a serious disservice to PS3 owners. part of me doesn't care because a) i'm no big fan of Valve's, and b) even if i were i still have the 360 which they support. however, a huge part of me is pissed. you kinda expect console makers and publishers to screw gamers, but not developers.

You also seem forget that the ps2's problems were not as widespread as 360 problems, and were fixed asap. I had a nearly launch ps2 that worked perfectly for 3 years until it stopped reading ps1 games, it would still read ps2 games though. And my 2cd ps2(also a fat model) worked for 5 years with no problem.

Not sure, but I do know the fail rate of launch 360's surpasses 33%.

If you give me(not you, or anyone else, but me) one reason to buy a 360, I'll give you a cookie. :)

Funny how you you fail to mention the %'s is still within an acceptable industry standard. The only reason why it "seemed" like a lot is because

2-3% of 125 Million is 2.5-3.75 Million ~ PS2

33% of 20 Million is 6.6 Million ~ 360

Now that 33% is also a false number as even MS admitted ALL 360's ARE PRONE TO FAILURE AND ARE DEFECTIVE. Then later they said with the revised MB (twice since then) they would not RROD but they continue to do so! Which means AGAIN that ALL 360's ARE PRONE TO FAILURE AND ARE DEFECTIVE...
