Xbox Live Marketplace Update: Thursday 21st August 2008

Console Monster writes: "Two demos are now available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The first is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, as expected, and the second is NHL 2K9. There's also a range of gamer pictures, themes, trailers, music videos and if you have failed to complete Through the Fire and the Flames on Expert, the Guitar Hero III Dragonforce Track Pack may not be for you. Here is the full list of updated content on the Xbox Live Marketplace for Thursday 21st August 2008:

1 - I played 2K9 on the psn last week,,
and guess what? I didnt have to pay for live to do it. I cant believe I have to be a paid live subscriber to play it on my 360 this week. I will have to wait till next week man,, wtf?! You know what,, I dont need this garbage on my 360. I mean, its not like I want to diss the 360, but its like every week they just give me another excuse to make me wanna sell my 360.

I cant stand the fact that I can play the exact demos on my psn on the same day if not sooner on my ps3. Why was I paying for live before? Ingame voice chat? I can chat with my friends in game on the ps3 for free as well. In game voice messaging, 100 plus first gen games in hd? I dont need that crap man,, Live just isnt worth paying for. It isnt worth the $7.50 a month charge, especially since I already pay over $100 for my internet..

Not that i should even bother replying but live silver accounts can download demos as well. Silver = free
Also nobody buys xbox live by the month...7.50*12=$90 > $50

2 - Quite Nice.
The demo was highly enjoyable. It went down quite nicely. I've played through it twice now because it's short.

I'm trying to extract as much juice out of it as possible. =)

I'm assuming you're talking about Force Unleashed. I'm thoroughly not excited at all for this release and it'll have to do a hell of a lot in the full game to impress me now that I've seen the combat. It's like a poor man's Psi-Ops.

4 - The truth belongs in the open zone?
Is it really being biased what Im talking about? Is having a free live service not on every 360 fans wishlist? Are you telling me that you guys dont see that the psn does all the main things that xbox live does without having to pay for it? I mean what are you really paying for with live? Its cool that voice communications works flawlessly ,, but I seriously dont see that having cross game communication and voice messaging can justify a $50 to $90 dollar price tag.

I can talk to my friends in almost every game on the psn, without the lame subscription charges. It doesn't make sense cause Microsoft has made a billion dollars on live right? So you mean to tell me they would lose money if they gave it for free now? I dont support a company that takes advantage of its consumers. Also, I have a 360, but I only play the exclusive single player games on it. Noone needs to pay for things they get for free from everyone else. Im not being bias,,, just logical. Its a shame that the people who disagree with me think otherwise,, and dont mind getting ripped off.
