Seriously, I guess the 7.5/10 Ratchet scored on Gamespot that was exploited, used, abused and rehashed over and over again by the XBOX fans isn't an example AT ALL of a poor gamespot review right? But now Mr. Kevin aka G4's biggest XBOX homer is leading the charge fighting for the biggest XBOX flop to date and something on par with Haze and Lair. OH BUT THE GAMING MEDIA CAN'T ALLOW THAT WITHOUT A FIGHT!! It's sad the obvious bias that is shown in this TOo Human defense versus Lair and Haze laughter.

Sorry Kevin, Too Human will never see the light of day in my XBOX360. I'll be playing Infinite Undiscovery come September 2 and plenty of LBP and Motorstorm on my PS3 come October. Try again sometime to get me buying into a garbage game. I'm sure you'll fail then too.

I agree with you Mao, because the bias is bulls---!! If this was a PS3 game, the fuggin game would be blasted into eternity and constantly flacked FFS.

I'm sorry I own a 360 and I'm disappointed in it. I'll be happier with the Tales of Vesperia (which I played the demo and feels good like a freaking Tales game usually do), or freaking Last Remnant.

Kevin P defends Too Human and for the most part I agree with his comments. Her's where I'm confused, the story is obviously "360" news, however 75% of the people in this thread are PS3 fans. And almost all of them a spewing negativity. Additionally, because Kevin P is defended Too Human, he is being attacked by people on this site, people calling him a douchebag and what not.

Other conclude that since gamespot gave ratchett a bad review that it is only fair to give Too Human one. Even though they were ready to burn gamespot to the ground for giving ratchett a bad review. No folks, that is what I call hypocrisy at it's best. Then there's those that automatically feel that anyone doing something positive for anything Microsoft must be paid off.

Please, someone tell my how, can any body that wants to be taken seriously in this world be so deprived of even the smallest bit of objectivity. Is there any PS3 fans out there (that don't own both consoles) that can admit when something is good or not so bad when it is on the 360.

It seems that anyone the speaks positively about the 360 or negatively about a sony product on this site is quickly ambushed by name calling and bubble thief. Guys, when will it end. This also goes for those hardcore 360 fans out there that do the same thing.

This group of people know as "gamers" (you and me) are really starting to get a bad reputation due to our inability to police ourselves. I can think of any other group that is engulfed in so much hatred. This is just so sad, and appears to be a lost cause.

Yeah I dont have a 360 and I can honestly tell you when an 360 game is good. Gears of War... AMAZING! Yeah I am a PS3 owner that is jealous of this game. GoW2 will be epic too! Tales Of Vesperia looks great, Last Remenant looks great, Halo 3 must be great with how many fans its got. Here is my problem with all of this. Fans will be fans! I love the PS3 and will defend my console. But 360 fans are just as guilty as PS3 fans are. Dont act like 360 fans are better because YOU ALL have done the same! So likewise I propose the same question! Are there any 360 gamers who do not own a PS3 that have anything nice to say about any PS3 games?

Listen, I actually think Kevin is a pretty cool guy and knows quite a bit about what he is talking about, since he started out just like any of us here being hardcore gamers. He's been hardcore for a long time and he even got started hosting for G4 because he used to host an internet gaming show.

But really Kevin, I really can't help but disagree with your argument, and many others arguments about the game being "fun" therefore it deserves a better score. Listen, if I had fun playing Superman 64 does that mean it should have recieved a higher score if I were reviewing the game? Should I just ignore everything thats wrong with the game only because I thought it was fun? For Christs sake Crisis Core was a lot of fun, but you guys at G4 seemed to think that the game was a bigger turd pile worse than what Gamespot gave Too Human (2/5=4.0 opposed to GS's 5.5 for Too Human), yet Crisis Core as a total package in terms of production values and gameplay was a much better video game than Too Human. Since you guys didn't enjoy it for some reason, thats why you all scored it low, but you fail to look past your personal biases when reviewing games despite the fact that you are on Cable Television considered "professionals." Yet here comes a game that is legitimately flawed and yet again you guys don't look at this and score based on your personal preferences and how much you "enjoy" the game instead of how good the game actually is. I thought these were supposed to be GRADES and not a fun factor meter, if a teacher enjoyed teaching me yet I failed all my tests does that mean I should pass the class?

The gameplay in Too Human IS NOT even good, its over-simplified and dumbed down. This is a very flawed argument about how "the game is fun therefore it should recieve a 9." Hell, reviewers should just get rid of the subcategories like Graphics, Gameplay, and Presentation and just have a single score, since all that matters nowadays is whether the reviewer considers the game to be fun.

WTF happened to the reviewers in the industry, and WTF happened to G4 seriously.

Actually you didn't but, I do feel the you are over simplifying it when you said that they should do away with the other categories.

If there is a category that needs to carry some weight it should be the fun/replay category. Who give a rat's boo boo about a game with solid graphics, great music, and all the other polish if it's not fun or entertaining to play. I have play many games that are fun that looks like doo doo. Can anyone say M.U.L.E. that is one of my all time favorites, and if it were on PSN or XBL, I would get it in a heartbeat. Haha, but looking at it (especially today) is like looking at a wet dog with his skin turned inside out...doh!

Kingme, I agree and totally see where you are coming from. But it should apply to all people on this site. Not just PS3 fans.

Edit: Also Kevin is a great host and a very funny guy. I have lost of respect for him and his comments. And I do agree with his spoof on gamespot. Those guys at gamespot are having an identity crisis.

Well thats my point man, these arguments are over-simplifying it by just saying "I enjoy the game so it should get a 9", if you enjoy a game does that automatically mean its a quality game? Especially since other people are reviewing these games, they will have different taste and like different things, so the review process shouldn't be based on personal enjoyment yet on actual quality of the different subcategories that the overall score is based off. The emphasis should be placed on the actual quality of gameplay, Too Human does in deed lack in the gameplay dept since like I said its over-simplified, dumbed down, and unneedingly frustrating.

I mean I actually enjoyed playing Haze, I considered it just some dumb fun, but does that mean I'm going to argue its reception and try to debate how its actually a spectacular game since its enjoyable? A lot of turd games are actually enjoyable if you sit down and play it for a few mins, that doesn't make them GOOD games.

I can say that with regards to the large amount of PS3 support it is becoming a bit ridiculous yet also in that regard it wasn't always that way. So you can take the show of fans on this site as a sign that perhaps the PS3 fans are just outnumbering the 360 fans nowadays.

And for what you said about the review Gamespot gave Ratchet as compared to the review they gave Too human; I think you missed the point. The original poster was commenting on how Kevin seemed to be over reacting on what review Gamespot gave Too human but didnt seem to care about the Ratchet review when it came out which even 360 fans could agree was not well founded. It was just an example on how Bias Kevin was being, I mean REALLY.... watch the video again when hes mentioning what could warrant a 5.5 and he laughs at the idea of a trophy specifically.

A poster above me had it right, for a long time now G4 has lost its touch with the gaming community. You cant even call it Tv for gamers anymore, its tv for gamers like Mtv is tv for music nowadays. And this whole thing only supports that theory I mean how many things dd he admit was bad about the game? My count is 5-6 and yet he justifies this whole thing because the combat is fun? The way he was describing it I would believe someone would give it only a decent score(like 5-7). Story, Design, User Interface, the worst of which being buggy which as we all know can be the fulcrum that completly RUINS a game. Can you saaaay Advent Rising? If you remember the game I dont rememeber any famous journalists making blog posts on how fun that one was.

Now you said you would like to see a PS3 fan admit good things are on the 360 ...well here I am. I wish every time I see a trailer for Mass Effect, Tales of Vesperia, or Fable 2 that I could play them. And eventually I will so there. :P

I agree with Kevin in the video, Too Human has issues, which hopefully will get worked out, but they won't if the internet and haters kill this game to the point the trilogy does not continue and the haters are PS3 fanboys or those that spent a few minutes on the demo.

Look Too Human takes some getting used to and some quality hours to get going, its about loot and leveling up of course the gameplay at level 1 is not as fun as level 20. Just like any RPG style game Too Human takes some time to get into and used to the innovative controls.

As far as Gamespot goes...they can suck my arse. Management took money over their integrity last Thanksgiving which resulted in everyone who was worth a damn on the editorial team to exit.

Gamespots reviewer for Too Human is an idiot, he is the guy who gave MAss Effect alot lower score than the AAA and GOTY the title was getting elsewhere. Noone that has been gaming for many years and follows reviews on the internet gives a rats arse about Gamespot.

YEs I have Too Human and enjoyed it all day yesterday and can't wait to get out of work to get back to grinding, leveling up, and looting.

dmc4 isnt that good of a game, in fact it hasnt changed at all since dmc1. japanese developers really need to start inovating here instead of just remaking old games. final fantasy 1,2,3 on DS is an example, chronotrigger,ff7 on psp. wheres the inovation? all they do is remakes and sequels.
