Tekken 6 next PS3-exclusive that is coming to Xbox 360?

The rumours about PS3-exclusive games that might also come to Xbox 360 keep on coming. After recent messages about Devil May Cry 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4, this time it's Tekken 6 whose exclusivity is taken into doubt.

According to "sources within IGN" (the same source who said VF5 would come to Xbox 360) Namco is currently working on a Xbox 360 version of Tekken 6, that would appear winter 2007, just short after the PS3-version.

Is Tekken 6 the next exclusive Sony is going to lose and where will it stop? Will Sony have any exclusive important franchises left at the end of 2007?

You can't buy up Bioshock if they're announced exclusive on 360/PC. I guess Bill has already paid the bill.

So there you go that's one of the list.

Ubisoft has been major supplier on 360. They know they sell on the platform. GRAW, Rainbow Six and other games. Sell like hot cakes. Assassins Creed won't be different. Sony has to pay a lot, so freaking very much to pay of for 10 to 15 million gamers on 360 for 2007 as potential buyers for the game.

Keep dreaming.

PS3 exclusives are running low. 360 exclusives will hit an all time high. Multiplatform games are best on 360 confirmed by several independent gaming sources.

are waking up to the fact that 360 is where the money is. 360 has an attach rate of over 5 games per console, with an install base of 10 million and growing. If a developer wants to make money on an investment, there better be a 360 copy. It's just business, and with the 360 being this generations dominant console that's where the business is.

Sony had a huge fanbase with the ps2 and probably thinks they dont need the exclusives anymore ...the sony faithful will come crawling no matter what. At the same time, Microsoft knows this...and have been acquiring AAA titles like Splinter Cell or Bioshock. Besides what company is going to deny 10 million possible customers?

Tekken is a horrible fighting game. Just another button masher. Virtual Fighter coming to the 360 is the news that everybody wanted to see. This is my rank for 3d fight games...

You must be smoking. Tekken is the best HAND TO HAND 3d fighting game ever made. If you didn't know how to play and didn't learn you couldn't help but mash buttons. And even then you only got cheap moves with button mashing. You have to learn the combo system in Tekken to master it or you weren't doing anything except wasting your time. One example is King. Button mash and you get no where. Learn his combo throws and you could kill someone in one combo throw. Off da chain!!

I'm not gonna lie. I will be disappointed if Tekken 6 does go multiplatform. I know everyone should get a chance to play it, but Sony is in real serious need of exclusives. The arrogance that Sony had about "even if the console was launched with 5 games, it would still sell." Well, that's kind of how it's looking. Only like 5 exclusive games out or coming within the next six months that are really AAA titles. Someone really should have given Ken Kutaragi and Kaz Harai a humility punch earlier. It could have made the console more attractive in the exclusives department.

Well uhm, I'm not a big Tekken fan, it seems like this genre is very "stale" these days, yes they look great but the fun factor just isn't the same -actually Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat & Soul Calibur were the only "fighting" games that I really enjoyed. Either way if true this is just another "feather in the 360's cap", but honestly IMO, Tekken isn't that big of a deal -Now if we get some creditable news that MGS4 is coming, then that would be very bad for Sony.

I'm not so sure it's due totally to arrogance on Sony's part and the success of the 360 on MS's part that Sony is losing all of its exclusives. Sony financially has been in the red for awhile now. They are getting outsold on nearly all hardware fronts (except last gen game systems of course), they just lost a ton of money on a battery recall, and they've poured a ton of money into bluray and the cell. Many business analysts (although I think most analysts are morons) have said that if Bluray fails, Sony fails. Point is, I'm not sure Sony has the money to keep the exclusives anymore, especially in light of the 360's success and the vast sum of wealth that is MS.

Well the guy was right on Virtua Fighter 5, which turned out to be true, so I guess Tekken 6 here it comes on 360.

The only reason I was going to buy the Playstation 3 was for Tekken 6. If this rumor turns out to be true then no PS3 for me.I bought my 360 on launch day last year and I knew it was going to be good....but the surprises never end with this little bad @ss console.Best console purchase I have ever made!Sony fans....Dont hate...participate!

I agree, Xbox 360 is the best and most complete console I've ever had, and I've almost all of them. I also have a Wii for the party/simple games, but don't think I need a PS3 anymore (I did have a PS2 though)

This is no big surprise people. With the HUGE costs of next gen game development these days we
are going to see more and more cross platform releases. This way the money gamble isn't as huge.
ITs just the way it is now. The only 'exlusive' stuff your going to get is .....SONY for the ps3 and MS game studios for the 360. It's just too risky for alot of software house's to bet on only one console with the latest game they have just banged out. The ps2 sold a gazillion units, which is why they had alot of exlusive titles.Companies knew they would make bank if the game was good, and released it for ps2. But now, it's a whole new ballgame. 360 got out a full year ahead, and remember there is also Nintendo Wii aswell. Personaly, I always thought cross platform was $hite. Because they don't really push any of the machines they release for. The only origonality and exlusivity your going to see out side each respective companies own software studios, is the 'Indie' developed downloadable stuff.

Seriously though...the PS3 isn't selling as well as i would have hoped...because gamestop/ebgames/bestbuy employees are telling the parents to buy the 360...BECAUSE IT MEANS MORE MONEY FOR THEM!!! They have more of them in stock and they're lying to the parents. One employee the other day said that Warhawk was coming to the 360, because the parent was waiting for Warhawk...so the parent got a 360!!! I mean, yeah...Warhawk looks fun...(not on my top 5 list or anything)...but that's not the point. It's that these employees are swaying the market a LOT more than we know and Sony needs to pay attention to this...because we KNOW MS is involved somehow!

For europe a soccer game is a system seller

For japan an RPG is a system seller

BUT NEVER A FIGHTER GAME!!!

This is NOT the reason to get ANY system.

DMC4 and MGS4 are my biggest reasons for PS3. Yeah, i'd like GOW, but it's not worth 3-400 bucks. For the next 3 or 4 years...that's the ONLY appealing game on the 360 for me. I don't like Halo...I'd rather play Unreal ANY day...and Mass Effect looks boring as frick. If the PS2 generation of games dies (the ones that actually had a storyline and got you ENTHRALLED in the game)...it's on all your heads. I believe that each of you fanboys is ruining my future gaming experience because you want your American product to win!!!

Gears of war is not worth 300 to 400 bucks? Then DMC4/MGS4 is certainly not worth 600 bucks!

Gears beat any game, any time, any day. Furthermore, there is more to get for 300 to 400 bucks then only Gears, you'll get Bioshock, Assassins Creed, GTA, Viva Piniata, Huxley, Forza, Virtua Fighter, Tekken, Fatal Internia, Crackdown, Halo, the right version of COD3, Rainbow Six and more, Command & Conquer 3, Lost Planet, Blue Dragon, PGR, Fifa&PES only on 360 up till Christmas 2007, and more and more

PLUS, what if MGS4/DMC4 comes to the 360? Capcom owns DMC4 and has several selling hits on 360. THey know 360 users buy games, 5.2 game attach rate per unit actually. PS3 owners don't buy games, 1.5 game per unit attach rate. The title has a name that sells: 1+1=2, Sony hasn't paid Capcom for DMC4, MS does pay Capcom to have titles like Lost Planet exclusive. MS even could buy Capcom to secure all titles, best buy ever, Lost Planet, Dead Rising, DMC4 and more all secured in one buy.

And Konami, well Konami also wants to make money. MGS4 production costs are high. If there are not enough PS3's to sell it too and PS3 owners buy so few games, they will certainly look to other platforms as well. Because SOny don't own the rights!

Microsoft has a better strategy, they have MS game studios which own a LOT of rights on the games to keep them exclusive. And otherwise they just pay them easy as that
