Japanese Retailer Teases 360 Final Fantasy XIII

Yes, yes, Kotaku knows. Square Enix has confirmed Final Fantasy XIII on the PS3 for Japan only. While it's multi-platform in North America and Europe, there's been no official announcement of the Xbox 360 getting that title there. That doesn't stop this Japanese retailer from teasing the possibility of an Xbox 360 version of the game being released. A prophecy of things or come or merely wishful thinking?

Don't forget that oblvion was not supposed to be released in japan on 360, then was later because japanese gamers demanded it. Same will happen for ff.

I don't think it will happen. Sony probably have some kind of exclusive deal with SE for Japan or possibly reinforce the exclusivity in Japan. If Sony is smart, they need to secure the exclusivity in Japan, after all 50% of worldwide sales is a huge percentage.

LOL Kotaku getting ahead of themselfs because they were right about 360 being in higher demand than usual.

Funny though, I was just going to edit my post in the *360 sells out in Japan* thread and was going to add that the marketing attatude and style may have changed on the ground in Japan.

nope sorry thats not the reason japanese people are desperate to play their tales games i dunno why they are all the same to me but anyways thats the reason 360s are even selling in a while the 360 will be back to its 1000 units a month just like what happened with blue dragon and ace combat

ToV may make SE consider releasing in japan! They mak look at it and say, "If Tales can most some of those 360's, then FFXIII shouldn't have a problen on the system!" But I think Infinate Undiscovery, Last Remnant, etc. will influence their decision in the end!

they wish they have FFXIII! even if it's true, it'll take awhile as SE had clearly stated that they are finishing and releasing JPN PS3 version first before starting the localization and 360 development for the west! FFXIII on PS3 and 360, in Japan? PS3 wins hands down!

Giess youll be waiting since the 360 version aint being developed until the ps3 version is done. So japan will definately see the ps3 version towards the end of this year. Lucky dudes.

Even if they do release it for 360 in Japan, a majority of the 360 owners in Japan own a ps3 and would probably get FFXIII for ps3 anyways. Japan loves Japanese companies.
