Is it just me who got bored of COD4? It took me about 50 hours to get to maximum level (on PC), and every game just turned into the same nade spamming/martyrdom fest.

4.1 - not yet
I play on ps3 and I get into many games where people don't continuously spam grenades.

4.2 - I stopped playing for a while but
it had nothing to do with spamming grenades. The only time spamming nades got on my nerves was on the boat level at night. Nearly every person picks that perk and starts throwing them to the corners. I just skip that level and move on. On any other level it's easy to avoid grenades if you don't sit in one spot or run around like a mad man. Just stay away from windows, corners and open view areas. Using UAV jammer, silencer and dead silence perks help alot with nade spammers and snipers.

What I grew tired of was the host quitting halfway through a map and being booted back out to the lobby to play a new map. If IW would have patched the game to change host on the fly I would've never stopped playing the game.

Recently I started playing the game again and I am having a blast.

The true king is back on the throne...Even if temporary. People cry about spamming nades, and yes, random tosses to get annoying, merely because you can't believe the luck, but I haven't met ANYONE that doesn't do it...We do it because it works. Weird, huh?

7 - It's funny...
Whenever Halo retook the lead on XBL players, there was a 200+ comment thread going about how "Halo is the King" and how COD4 sucked in comparison. Now that COD4 has retaken the lead and this article won't even sniff the hottest news b/c all the Halo crazies won't be jumping on to say "Halo is the King".

BTW, guaranteed I lose a bubble/get a butt load of disagrees for saying something semi-negative about Halo fans.

7.2 - @7.1
That's true also. It's a mix of both Halo fanatics and anti-Halo fanatics. But since there aren't any real anti COD4 fanatics this story is dead in the water.
