IGN: Too Human Review

For everything Too Human does well, it feels as if there is something holding it back. The character customization options and great class and skill system are the kind of foundation games should be built on. But then it's all made rather moot by the fact that dying doesn't matter and all of the enemies scale to you. The sense of accomplishment just isn't there. If you're the kind of gamer that loves outfitting a character and scouring the land for that one epic loot drop, Too Human will excite you and then some. For the rest of us, it's a decent game that will entertain you until the next big release comes along.

It's not about how much of a score it gets, but what it should've accomplished as a 10 years in the making game, they hyped it like it was the second coming, but does it add anything new to the genre, from what i've seen, absolutely nothing, just another generic DMC wanna be.

In my opinion, as those 10 years wasted down the drain proves, it couldn't get any flopper than that.

It's funny how some people only see the negative reviews for this game as valid. If someone gives it an 8 or close (7.8) people are still calling it a flop. One guy even said it's a flop because it should have been a 10. Wow, that's gonna make a lot of good games be considered a flop in his book.

Reviewing this game is starting to show the ever evolving problem with current game reviewers. They are so, worried about what people will say about their review that they can't even look at a game objectively. I have played the demo of this game, and so fair the IGN review appears to me to be the most on point. This game is no less than a 7. I personally consider an 8.

It's also funny how there are some PS3 fans now who agree with reviews written by gamespot. 6 months again, they wanted to burn gamespot at the stake. Game reviews are starting to receive the same treatment as the console war itself, the treatment of "If it's not ours, then it sucks" which is really sad.

Does it really matter what a review score is if a game is selling lots of copies. I mean honestly, I think sells determine whether something is a flop versus some clown a sitting at a word processor.

Companies hype products to generate sales, if the product sells the way the company wanted it to. Then it's hardly a flop, the game was hypes (At least some of you thing so) and It had 1 mil plus preorders. You can call it a flop if you want to, the publishers and developers are flopping their way to the bank, while you make comments on n4g about a rating given to it by a handful of individuals.

Look how many people were saying the PS3 was a flop. You know why, because it wasn't selling. As far as reviews go, the PS3 was getting great reviews, but wasn't selling due to the price point. And because it wasn't selling it was consider (At least at the time) a flop. Look at it now.

So, in summary sells determine what is and what's not a flop, not some a$$hole's opinion.

Too Human is guranteed to be dead on arrival. This game will place Silicon Knights into an extreme amount of debt. Thankfully Sony Computer Entertainment had the incredible foresight of dropping this game over 10 years ago.
