Fable II Pub Games releases in broken state

Fable II Pub Games has been released with a game breaking exploit which allows gamers the option to cheat their way to huge amounts of gold, which can then be used in Fable 2 when it releases in October.

Looks like Lionhead will have to pull a Codemasters (GRID) and reset leaderboards and scores. Hopefully they can fix it soon!

I tried it yesterday and I thought it was awful. The games felt rushed and badly programmed. You rely mostly on luck and not skill.

not really, the only one that has no strategy is spinner box, which is just a slot machine

the other ones have decent strategies to go along with them, i already have quite a bit of gold that i've amassed legally

and it doesn't matter how they fix it, somebody will find a new exploit...it is how every game works, somebody somewhere is going to find a way to cheat...they always do

As a hardcore RPG fan, Fable 2 would lose a lot of respect from your's truly. Completionist goals are just that, this would be early indication in a non-belief in such things.

It would be as bad as those terrible FF players saying they could beat ultima and omega weapon in FFVIII by opening the system top and stopping the disc to get a Selphie end EVERY time.

Heh I doubt it but it would be funny if it was intentional. Just like in most RPGs, there is sometimes a clear distinction between good and evil ways to play the game. Maybe cheating the arcade game helps out the evil side!

A truly broken game mechanic or an absolutely GENIUS way of getting more people to play these games so more will end up buying the real game with a sh!tload of money.

I truly think it is the former...but who knows.

I was doing this last night, however, I think the only way to win the in game cash is to play the tournaments. I don't think the money from playing just the regular games gets added to your Fable 2 game.
