Kotaku: Brett Farve? No EA, It's Brett Favre

Kotaku writes: "'Brett' is easy to spell. B-r-e-t-t. "Favre", not so easily. But to review: F-a-v-r-e-. Not "Farve". If you're a football fan, you should know that. And if you're EA, you damn well should know that - especially because he's the coverboy! Reader Devon points out that Brett Favre's name is mispelled in the collector's edition menu in Madden 09. That's a pic of it right up there. Well, at least EA didn't put 'Brett Favor.'"

Comeon, it was just probably a few of employees at EA that had the oversight on this. Wasn't like Peter Moore was the one that decided the headlines here. This is just a case of trying to rip EA for the sake of ripping EA.

Besides, it should be Farve. I really don't know how "FAVre" translates into the sound "Farve" anyway :D

5 - This is a monopoly
This is what happens when a company just doesn't give a sh** anymore. They're not concerned about quality assurance. They're not concerned about making any substantive improvements to the game as they churn out sequel year after year after year with basically nothing changed except rosters (and they can't even get THAT part right, as witnessed here).

This is what happens when there is absolutely ZERO COMPETITION. EA is a POS; we all know that. But they're even worse when there's no rival to challenge them, and thus no impetus to make better games. And this is exactly what's gonna happen with franchises like NBA 2k, NHL, GTA, and others, if EA buys out Take Two, one of their primary rivals.

Kotaku are a bunch of f*cking idiots. Those clowns are so cynical, they have to try to rip apart something whenever they get the chance. They just love this stuff. They love having an opportunity to laugh and point fingers at something/someone. It's too bad their own writers are a bunch of fools that get facts wrong, publish bullsh*t rumors and fakes as though it's actual news, and "mispell" things in their own articles about how something is misspelled. And they do it with this holier-than-thou air that can't be touched by anyone, anytime, anywhere. It's pathetic how insecure those guys are.

That's all well and good. But you must admit that Kotaku can be foolish sometimes. Making fun of people for things that they themselves are obviously guilty of. In my opinion, Brian Crecente is 100% of the problem with Kotaku. They've got a sh!tty editor. It's really that simple.
