Dedicated servers would be a huge plus, especially for gow2 to get rid of all the host advantages from the first one. You can't really do much about the hate speech stuff, when I encounter it on live i just leave, and occasionally report the person if its really bad and incessant. And I think the only reason you don't hear as much hate speech on psn is because not as many people have mics. Anonymity will always bring out the a hole in some people, and we live in a racist society. Thats just how people are.

That's because hardly anybody talks at all on PSN. Besides, you can just utilize the MUTE button. Regardless of whether you hear it or not, they think and act that way regardless. You can hear idiots walking through the park or in the store. It's no different, other than you can't turn them off.

Agreed at least that the browser isn't important. I tried the browser on my Wii and PS3 a couple of times, and it's just not worth it. It performs poorly and the interface isn't up to snuff (even with a keyboard). We have computers for that.

Use the nute button it works wonders for those idiots. I notice that you do not hear it as much in the PS too, but nit that any people own head sets on it either. Nah, I do not want dedicated servers.

I love the idea of a "clan bar." I miss my uber-dominant Halo 2 clan, though I still play with most of them.

A web browser doesn't really interest me, as I have a laptop sitting two feet from my 360. But I guess some people would find it useful.

More Arcade titles PLEASE. I know there's a lot of titles already out there, but more variety beyond old arcade ports and Pop-Cap style games would be welcome. The article suggests titles like Dragon Quest, Chrono-Trigger, Killer Instinct...*drooooool*

And I'd love an all-in-one button or function that automatically bans foul-mouthed racist 12-year-olds.

7 - Love all the ideas

If there had to be two more ways to improve live...

1. Free Xbox Live weekends to draw people in. Or contests within first-party Microsoft games for people to win a free year of Xbox Live. Let's say a Microsoft hosted clan tournament and the prize would be some free items (points, games, shirts, etc.) and a free year of Xbox Live.

2. Dedicated Servers... at least for Microsoft published titles.

10 - I would like to see free multiplayer gaming with no extras. Before you hit disagree, read on.

No voice chat, no friends list, no demos, videos, movies, nothing but gaming and patches. Call it the Freeloader Zone. As cheap as I am I'd still pay for Live with all the functionality, but some people would love the idea.

in my eyes the title (and the whole article) is a little bit stupid...

BECAUSE: Everything you add to XBOX Live is "improving" it...

but the question is what do we really need...

The idea with the "clan blade" is pretty old (people discussed about it before the last DB update...and i dont think it will ever happen...atleast not so soon) but it would be a nice addition for some people.

The "Browser"...hmmmmm.. .i dont know...it would make sense to add one! (as mentioned in the article)... because you already have that mini keyboard (chat pad) and not everyone wants to switch to their PCs when they are on their 360 (like with the Live Messenger)

The "Channel" thing on the other hand maybe a usefull addition...and it fits in the whole LIVE concept (weather-service and such things...as in Windows VISTA)

LIVE anywhere......i think that this died long ago...first when they introduced it, i was pretty excited...but now...theres too much time passed by

PERSONALLY i think none of the mentioned things are going to happen...but the "clan blade" and a "browser" seem to me the best additions right now...but were getting the NXE this year.....so we have enough to be excited about....and we dont know what the future has to offer

Dedicated servers for all games? Sony mainly only has dedicated servers for first party games. Most of the rest are p2p. Microsoft is the exact same way. That's weird that you would bring that up.
