Call of Duty 6 Announced...Already??

Jeux-Video.com - The fifth entry in the series Call of Duty, called World at War, is not even out that the sixth is already announced. This is Robert "Bobby" Kotick, the boss of Activision, which released the information during a conference call, referring to an exit in 2009 and development back at Infinity Ward . We know already that it would be held in the near future. Finally, this announcement is not surprising when one knows that CoD 4: Modern Warfare is the game's best-selling 2007.

I wasn't going to buy COD5 and if six is coming only a year or so after it i won't be buying that either it makes no sence, they need to slow down and take their time. We are going to end up with a series that resembles nhl or madden. A game a year is totaly off stride for a shooter franchise!

well in a way your right and in a way your wrong IW and tryarc are different companys so when call of duty 5 comes out the next your COD6 will come out each game has about a 2yr in development but i get what your saying

I know. Why would you release a game every year unless its a sports game. I might as well wait for 6 to come out instead of buying 5. You said it right by whoring a game thats for sure.

8 - The ONLY important thing is....
that Infinity Ward is working on it. Thanks to Treyarch, Call of Duty 5 is going to inspire boredom and trade-ins the last thing gamers need is ANOTHER WW2 shooter. Pretty soon developers will make a game from the Swiss point of view, that game should last 20 min.

Here's hoping Infinity Ward makes COD6 a futuristic game, like Battlefield 2142, except you know.... good.

Totally agree! I'd love to see what they do in a more sci-fi type of environment. I was already sick of WWI&II era games, I loved CoD4 but now I'm getting tired of the "modern combat" as well.

Still anything IW = instant buy for me. They are just amazing developers.

not the part of being good because CoD4 was kinda very good! but about the naming part, I agreed 100%! if they're going to release it annually, then CoD 2009 followed by CoD 2010 and so on!

but seriously now! COME ON!! even if they're 2 separate teams working on the title each year, it's still CoD and they're using the same fvckin engine! are they expecting CoD4 kind of sales for every instalment?? personally, if CoD is going the way of the FIFAs and MADDENs...I'll never going to buy any of them ever again! talking about milking...now they're ruining the franchise! I'm not saying that every new instalment will sucks but one fvckin new CoD per year? I'll pass! I mean, I love FIFA but still I'm not going to buy it every year! I have and love 08 but I won't buy 09. I'll wait for 2010 instead!

OMG...I won`t be able to handle another debugging of COD...COD4 problems got on my last nerve...Lag in the BOG..No mute on the Ingame mics...I`ll never go throught that again...I heard a Guy yelling @ his kid for eating Pickles on his Couch!!! It was bad... I need therapy=)

Maybe they have learned from there mistakes?
