Dell.com is offering an Xbox 360 Elite bundle for only $299. $150 off retail price.

The bundle includes:

You do know that the Falcons are still vulnerable to RRoD. If you look at the anandtech article dissecting the Falcon rev, they improved the GPU cooling but skimped on the CPU. You would do better to wait for Jasper when both GPU and CPU are shrinked before you start singing your ballad.

You have to purchase the controllers and cables separately. Still a pretty good deal. No matter how you look at it, it's cheaper than getting a 360 Elite at the store.

It says under "Tech Specs" that it comes with component cables, 1 HDMI cable, and one controller. Even if it didn't come with all of that though a component cable can be bought for $20, a HDMI cable for $5 from Monoprice, and a controller for $40 (possibly cheaper if you get a used one) making the total $360. Still nearly $100 cheaper than an Elite from anywhere else.

My only point is that the PS3 has pushed itself so far into a hardcore corner that it's losing serious market share. Microsoft took a good chunk of the hardcore gamers and is now trying to persuade casual gamers also Sony is doing nothing. Sony needs to get serious about their gaming market if they want to compete now and into the future.

I wonder how long supplies will last. I know somebody who just bought this off of Dell's website earlier today. Thats a damn good deal. It's black, 120GB of HDD space, plus it's bundled with 2 games, and 2 face plates.

Edit: I see that the price changed just a moment ago. I have to check back with my friend now. See if it was a mistake or he just had real good timing. I will let everyone know.

Is because their not selling at all. Seriously like how many Elites do you think sold? I'm guessing maybe 100,000 or less. Every time I go to my local bestbuy, the elites are always in stock. Their never being sold. Its a flop. $150 cut is really big. The only reason for it is the elite is selling like crap.

I don't know if bestbuy is the best place to judge like that. They always have piles and piles of the different 360 models (mostly pro) and piles of ps3's, but when I was there yesterday they were completely sold out of all ps3's.

They dont build forts with them like the have in the past....go ask them for a 40 gig or sometimes a 80 gig and they will have them....on the other hand there are xboxes out on the shelves. elites and arcade and pros are stacked together.
